Yep that was funny Meteor . Much deserved celebration . That took some doing right there . Go Have a beer or two son , you did well !
Anyone venture to guess why he’s using the scoundrel?
I wondered that too, as it’s more usual to see Templar (for heals / resource) or Enchantress (for hitting an Attack Speed breakpoint) whereas the Scoundrel provides small amount of CHC by way of Anatomy.
Yeah, he had around 10% “excess” progression there at the end… though the worry is that with too many horrors left around, all those worms would eat conduit zaps and you might leave several elites alive. There’s probably a surprisingly thin line between “total overkill” and “several elites left alive”.
A great clear. On several of those pulls I was surprised the server didn’t go down!
Indeed, at that level of fishing, I wouldn’t doubt he’s had a few runs at timing conduit density vs elites. In my 141 Battlefields Fatty run, I would have finished everything within the 1 minute had it not be for the molten explosion. I’m still salty of that run, haha.
Also his power pylon was waaay to conservative. With rend build you can stack enough stricken during the first 5~8% of the RG hurt points and take the power to kill. I guess he just wanted to play it safe with Vesalius.
His paragon isn’t too far off from mine, about 5K str worth. If the 4th cube slot comes to ns or rorg emanates, you know I’ll be pushing to close 150
On the old WW build, they would have crashed!
Looks like he had about 16-17 seconds of Power left when the RG died, which would have got him through another Phys CoE cycle. In the previous 16-17 seconds, he took him from about 30% to dead. So he definitely could have shaved off 30 seconds or so there.
Haha, yeah man, dead as a doornail!
I have a theory, but first, which of the new skills are either/or choices? For example, are Hysteria and Anatomy in the same group, and thus you can only choose one?
It was a Season 22 clearance. You can see him get a clone around 9 min 30 sec when he takes the Conduit pylon. So this isn’t due to the 2.7.0 follower skill choices.
Season 22 end date 3/28. chris, when are we going to see that end push?!
3/28 dang I got time to get more paragons. You know i hate pushing. Maybe I will get some keys in this weekend.
Here is some end of era speed testing times in 120s. 6270 paragon. With follower changes and another 500 paragon transferring from season these should be really quick. I might even start doing 125s soon.
Best: 3:50
average: 4:54
worst: 5:45
This is with crimson speed build right? Man I hate that build when I’m in the zone for some mindless paragon grind. Too much thinking to manage cooldowns for me haha.
No sir this is my mid teir speed build. Crimson and istvans blades. Running swords to ploughshare and one life per hit roll on weapons. I left the build on my profile. Drop spear for sprint and warcry instead of IP. Sounds sub optimal but when you are running though terrible maps IP really sucks all your zodiac procs so it needed to go. Thats why Im running ploughshare and life per hit. Im only doing 108s with the squirts build.
Hi,
I am trying to get confirmation of what I understand because I don’t think it’s completely explicit in the guide. Or I missed it and then just you can just take this opportunity to make fun of me.
What determines the elemental type I should aim for on my equipment? Is it all about the rune on Rend? Meaning that I can use wind shear in combination with bloodbath if that suits my playstyle a bit better even though elemental types don’t match? Or should I aim to align rend and whirlwind elemental types like lacerate (lightning) + wind shear (also lightning) with Istvan’s?
The rune used on your abilities determines the element that ability causes. In the WW/Rend build, the vast majority of your damage comes from Rend / Bloodbath, which is physical damage. That’s why you want +20% Physical on bracers / amulet if possible, regardless of the rune used on WW.
The rune used on WW is determined by which weaponry you’re using. If you’re using BK mighty weapons, they have huge amounts of fury regeneration built in, so you don’t need Wind Shear, and can swap it to Blood Funnel (you’d also swap Battle Rage from Swords to Ploughshares to Into The Fray). If you’re using Istvan’s Paired Blades, you’d use Wind Shear (as you require the fury generation). The reason the rune selection on WW doesn’t matter any more is because very little of the build’s damage comes from WW, it’s all about Rend now.
I thought so. Thank you for confirming!

I think I’m crying.
Bummer, man. So close…
I think I’m over 600 in total, or more .
