Definitely start at a 1 miil health then slowly go lower as your gear/augments/skill all get to a high level. Don’t be like me running 525k glass cannon. Even with max augments and great gear half the RGs can kill me one shot if I’m not careful and another 2-3 it is guaranteed. RIP BLIGHTER HE CAN BURN!!!
Why don’t you just forgo the minimal incremental dps to get to 1 mil hp - would probably allow you to survive at least another 2-3 RGs. Feels like a no brainer.
Does that actually work? I feel like, once the animation for his holy nova begins, it fires no matter what, even if you freeze or stun him…
Can’t recall, but the better tactic is to stun him during the wind-up.
No, that’s what I mean: the ”wind-up” is when he sort of “absorbs energy” or whatever, after which he shoots out the nova. Once that wind up starts, I’m not sure stunning him prevents the nova from firing.
Haven’t pushed in a while . Took me forever to get a halfway decent FOT ammy . Thought I would give 128 a try after finding the ammy . I was running Captain’s and BK swords and got 128 cleared in 14:41 . Only had power and shield pylons . Last time I pushed was a couple of seasons ago and did get a 127 cleared . I got the 128 done with only 2 keys tried . Skipped one floor which took some time off the clock . Still got it done with no deaths and I had Rime for RG . This was solo non season . No AD at all on gear but loaded with CD reduction . Thought I wasn’t gonna make it as I had to fight the RG without a pylon in site . COE cycles is what made it possible . Thank god for the COE’s .
PTR ends today.
I guess I’ll be back to trying for a GR130 until S22 starts.
So I coached my buddy to a very easy 135 last night on discord.
Helped him get another top 40 class clear. It was interesting to watch because he refused to play the core build. I was able to actually see what crimson can do around Free’s threshold of 5k to switch over. On top of that he had suboptimal gear only 5 augments and has never pushed barb. He does have the title of best zbarb I know though. Well he managed to 10 key a 135 in 13 minutes. So I would definitely say the switch should be done around 5k if you have close to full 150 augments, decent gear and lots of experience. If you dont have all these it will closer to 6k. He was 5.5k with 30k main stat.
Nice, how was the process? Did he stream and you give tips while viewing? Or was it prep talk and let him go at it?
I like to picture it as his buddy sat at the computer and Chris having just opened the door and asked “Are you winning, son?”
He was live streaming. I was running keys and told him to fish until he got a good map then I would watch. He finish one run but missed it by a minute but overall the maps were garbage and non power or condi. Key 10 was a swarms fester with a power and channeling then a swarms caves with condi and hamlin RG. Swarms are just silly. I see now how crimson would work. Just fish for swarms and call it a day.
Congrats, man! Coaching somebody to a higher clear is a great feeling-- almost as good as getting a new top clear yourself.
No doubt. He then last night after a few more augments clears a 137 in 20 keys. After he sends me a personnel message that he is coming for my record. His clears are making me want to slap the CC back on. I do already have a perfectly rolled chest waiting in my stash for CC build too. Glad my 138 isn’t really a push for me.
A few weeks ago I tried the CC set again at 4.8K paragons and incoming dmg was crazy at GR140. I was running glass canon with 0 vit and 515K hp, while missing 4x augments. I think I was sitting just at 30K main stat for that setup.
Game play I definitely like CC more, there’s way less crowd control immunity build up with Ignore Pain. I hate having to run around outside of the mob pack to stun air just to proc BoM, really messes with smooth game play imo.
After I get 140 down - if that ever happens, haha, it’s going to be all paragon farming and getting as much 150 gems as possible to augment the 1% upgrades.
Same here dude. I was already planning on a crimson 140 push but freezing put a damper on that. So instead ive farmed 14.5k bounty mats so far. I might try when my paragon gets transferred over.
Haha, that is so crazy! I got to 1k and just couldn’t take the boredom any more.
Well if you made a season toon you would have 2k.
Hmm…
1000…
x2…
= 2000…
Math checks out!
Got like 3k mats in season but have lost my will to play the game (and live). 13k? Cannot imagine the boredom. And even worse, GoD is annoyingly hands-on.
Are you SSF-only, like me? I think that makes a big difference with bounties. With 4 people the clearing rate is probably 3x what it is with just yourself.
