Generally you are better off cubing Zodiac, because it can never roll with Crit Damage, Area Damage etc, and you have to roll off a Stat to get a Gem slot.
But that is also providing you have a BoM with 80% or close to, and CoE with near to 200%.

Basically what pheonix said. You cube zodiac always as long as you have a decent band of might(>75%) and COE(>195%) for the extra stat roll zodiac can not provide. Attack speed and resource reduction are 100% useless in the push build. Also keep in mind that in most cases putting zodiac in the cube will cause you to lose a cooldown roll for more damage. Only put zodiac in the cube if you have permanent wrath without that cooldown roll.
Thxs. That answered my question. Prob should have said that the bom and coe affixes aren’t a issue.
Rumors going around that china actually got a ban wave…What!!! so I decided to look at the world leaderbaords and in fact I moved up and seras in back on the top 200 with your old clear. Not sure what going on but maybe there will be more to come…

I love how they just list all the accounts haha. Privacy don’t exist in China.
Hello guys!
I’m recently back to diablo 3 and was lucky to find this awesome guide waiting for me - Thank you Free!
I was a leapquake player (I remember trying to follow in Rage’s footsteps – good times!) and was amazed at the power of the Zodiac Rend. The Rift Guardian fight is so damn easy compared to back then (like 5x faster).
I just made it to the Europe leaderboard, which was my (modest) goal. I cleared GR 126 in 11m37s (paragon 2514). I was concerned with survivability because I decided to use the Captain Crimson variant, but with my current setup it was not an issue, for now (it will probably get more difficult if I get closer to 130).
Also, I’m still missing the recommended amulet “Flavor of Time”. I have the feeling it may be a long time until I find a usable one…
Good luck to everyone on their GR pushing!
Cheers!
Finding a usable FOT isn’t too bad. Just do a ton of bounties until you roll one with 2 of 3: phys/crit/CD + socket. You should be able to get one within a day or two.
Wanderer! Haven’t seen you in ages! Great to have you back.
Yeah, I did a few bounties… but it’s so boring!?
Hey Rage!
Yeah, I was… Wandering elsewhere.
Glad you are still around! Still kicking *** with leapquake?
Lol, sort of. I’ve been slowly working on trying to clear a 126, but haven’t had much time to play lately. Compared to what WW can do, though, that’s pretty bad. But, I still love playing Leapquake!
If you ever feel like a change from spinning you can also try out the new Frenzy set. I hear the stickied guide for that is pretty helpful…
I didn’t check the new Frenzy set for 2 reasons: (1) I assumed it probably wasn’t very strong; (2) I didn’t notice who was the author of the guide.
Seems like I was wrong and need to pay more attention!
I will certainly try it out. I like the ideia of an elite hunter.
And I think the only gear I’m missing is Azurewrath.
I spent the weekend blasting set dungeons and got Mastery on all classes. Put the green ethereal wings on my push barb and green monster wings on my zbarb. Feels good!
Overall, all the set dungeons were easy except for the ww one, that one took me 5 tries to get down. I cheated and didn’t farm any sets. Instead, I crafted rares and upgraded them to sets via the cube. It took ~55K of whites, blues, and yellow mats to get all the sets and some supporting legendaries to complete the dungeons.
Time spent was about 7~8 hours across the weekend casually grinding out dungeons.
H90 Frenzy is our second strongest build, neck and neck with Pro Slam. Both lag behind Rend in terms of speed, mitigation, and damage, and there is a 8+ tier gap between Rend and H90/Slam.
If you don’t have 5K Paragon, I strongly recommend you ditch Crimson’s and switch to the Core build. Trust me, the damage will be about the same and the mitigation will be even better.
A good FOT is hard to get. As Blayze pointed out, bounties are the way to go. In the meantime, you can use a good Hellfire in its place.
If you have any questions, let me know!
Good on your pushes, y’all.
People are more then welcome to run crimson at any level but it becomes an issue when you push the limits of the build. This is the case even in speeds. You will be required to have perfect rolls and different gear just to run efficient speeds. I recommend at least 2 resource cost rolls(weapons, zodiac are best and easiest spots). Even with almost perfect gear I was running 4 resource cost rolls sub 5k in 110s just to not die to arcane/blighter. Now being 5.4k I am back down to 3 rolls for a little more damage and almost nothing can kill me in 110s. So I also think 5k is the threshold to begin testing crimson as long as you have proper rolls to go along with your paragon. If your just being casual and go lower then you should then nothing really matters use whatever you want.
Thanks for the input guys. I will try the Core variant as soon as I get some missing gear. I finally realised the reason why I was getting so much difference in damage output between the 2 versions: I was using an old version of Lamentation, which doesn’t have % damage to Rend!!
Also, I managed to reforge a (barely) usable Flavour of Time, and it makes a bit of a difference. I was able to complete GR 127 only after a few tries, and with a couple minutes to spare. HOWEVER, my accomplishment wasn’t saved by the game! My record is nowhere to be found! WTF happened? The game unlocked access to GR 128, but didn’t save my GR 127 record.
I’m a bit sad about it…
