Grin Reaper (Mimics) and Ring of Emptiness

Do the spells cast by the mimics spawned by the Grin Reaper helmet proc the Ring of Emptiness damage buff?

Let’s say the mimics cast haunt and locus swarm on a mob, will I get the damage buff?

Or if the mimic casts haunt and I cast locust swarm myself, will I get the damage buff?

Or does the haunt and locust swarm both have to be cast by me on a mob to get the damage buff?
