Well here is my full throated rant once again lol.
Please randomize GR maps and monsters better. There are many maps and monsters you will NEVER see in GR. Its literally the same maps over and over…and over.
There are really some cool maps and monsters in the game but they never make it in the GR rotation ever!
Its nice you add a twist to the seasons, but we keep running the same old tired maps!!!
PS. If I see the Plague Tunnels one more time in a GR I am going to scream!

GRs really need some serious updates.
- Fix inconsistent densities for some tilesets!
- Remove doors in Keep Depths and Ruins of Corvus tilesets!
- Remove Realm of the Banished tileset from GRs entirely!

Well said!
Putting lipstick on a pig (seasons) its still a pig lol.
We are literally running the same stuff over, and over…and over.

Personally, I wish they would make new ones.
Or add mini- dungeons; 1 per act, per season. Put the bounties in them.
How many doors in each act are never opened…
they could really do some changes to the maps that are only an annoyance.
removing doors in GRs would be a big improvment to corvus and keeps already.
but I get that there should still be some room for good and bad RNG, you don’t want every map to feel equally good.
I’d rather would welcome some new existing maps in the GR pool. fields of slaughter or blood marsh for example.
things like that would make a huge difference since running GRs are the main activity in d3. there are so many maps you almost never see…

realm of the banished is literally the worst.
What they could do so we don’t get bored with doing Greater Rifts is implement a new option when choosing a Greater Rift difficulty.
Right now you can only increase the number of legendary gem upgrades by 1 for gold.
And now they could add new options for example a list you can choose from:
- +15% monster density (cost: 250 blood shards and 100 forgotten souls)
- +8% movement speed for each floor level you are on (cost: 350000 gold)
- All monsters are random type of monster (cost: 500 blood shards and 10 Act I-V mats)
- Chance to drop a primal legendary is doubled (Rift Guardian is guarded by 3 Elite packs)
- Rift Guardian drops Act I-V materials (cost: you get the idea)
- Rift Guardian drops random legendary gem upgraded to 1-99 lvl (cost: you get the idea)
- Map area is discovered at every floor level (cost: you get the idea)
There are unlimited number of ideas and even more fun ideas for normal rifts. You choose on additional affix to the GR at a cost.
This option would be game changing for Diablo 3 and Greater Rifts would not be boring anymore!

if anything i’d prefer if GR’s would just have static seeds per tier per season, as in every GR97 will always be the exact same layout, same monsters in the same locations, etc, etc. and 98 will be the same as every other GR98 but different from GR97
That’d make competing with friends much more interesting for me personally as it removes GR fishing which is just a horrible blight on GR gameplay.
Then switch up the seeds every season to keep things fresh while still removing fishing. this would also create more engadgement as people would wanna know which tiers in different ranges are the best for speed farming for example.
