Gogok mechanics?

Gogok give 1% Cooldown Reduction per stack of Swiftness. Great! But how does that work?

If I’m running a constant attack (any channeling skill) there are always a few lapses in combat that will cause a 4 second reset. So Gogok starts again.

First, if only 3 seconds elapse before I attack again, Gogok stays active at 15 stacks, right? Do I have to actually hit something?

My understanding is that if it’s at 15 stacks active it gives 15% CDR to all cooldowns. If a 30 second CD skill is fired after 15 seconds of the timer, it can be fired again for up to 4 seconds AFTER the last active attack was made. Therefore, I’m still attacking after 12 seconds into the initial firing of the CD skill, it should work to fire again.

That seems logical to me, but somehow it doesn’t feel right. What’s my mistake?

You have to hit an enemy for the stack to refresh. As long as you hit something before the stacks disappear, it will refresh the entire stack and you stay at 15.

I have no idea what this means. What timer? With 15% CDR, a skill that has a 30 sec cooldown would now have a 25.5 sec cooldown.

Ah, 30 seconds - 15% = 25.5 seconds. My stupid…

Okay, here’s what I come up with…

Item Para CaptC Helm Shoul Glove Ring Weap Shield Ring Amu Fervor Gogok
(1-%) (1-.1) (1-.2) (1-.25) (1-.07) (1-.08) (1-.07) (1-.1) (1-.06) (1-.07) (1-.07) (1-.15) (1-.15)
90.00% 80.00% 75.00% 93.00% 92.00% 93.00% 90.00% 94.00% 93.00% 93.00% 85.00% 85.00%
10.00% 72.00% 54.00% 50.22% 46.20% 42.97% 38.67% 36.35% 33.81% 31.44% 26.72% 22.72%
73.28% 77.28%

Without Gogok I have CDR at 73.83% (close) so my final with Gogok would be about 77.5%. That would give me Akarat’s Champion every 90 seconds - 69.75 seconds (77.5%) = 20.25 second trigger or 1/4 second downtime. That’s assuming I’m channeling and never drop Gogok.

Is that correct?

What do you mean by “Channeling”. Gogok isn’t the channeling gem. Taeguk is. As Timber said, you have to hit an enemy, not just spam the skill.

Edit: You really should have cooldown on your weapon. That can roll 10%, then you can roll cooldown off a jewelry slot to get something more useful like CHC or CHD. Also put a Leoric’s Crown in your cube (your cube doesn’t show an item in armor, so I can’t tell what’s there). If you look at my non-season Crusader Lancelot, he has 100% uptime on Akarat’s without Gogok or ORotZ. Cube is BoP, Leoric’s and RoRG.

The Leorics Crown doesn’t show up on the online profile, just like the RoRG.

Also, 100% uptime on Akarat’s is easy with the Akkhan set. Much harder on other sets.
