Well, been a long time since I played D3 but as I heard about the new DH set, I came back.
Here is my attempt of a speed farm build for T16 after a few minutes of thinking :
Hope you will enjoy it and critics are welcome, ofc. =)

nice vid. There are gonna be several very good speed builds depending on each persons objectives, gold, keys, grifts, etc. This one works, I do believe there are much faster builds with some gear shuffling. …
The new set is strong…
I going to test with the aughild’s set, should add a little buff…
Well to use Aughild’s you need to use RoRG and you lose Wraps of Clarity. So realistically, you lose the CoE buff (+50% damage averaged over time) and 50% damage reduction.
The Aughild’s set bonus provides:
+15% damage, +30% damage to elites
30% damage reduction, 30% damage reduction from elites
So against non-elites, this option is fairly bad compared to the CoE + Wraps option. And against elites (assuming not using Bane of the Powerful), the set provides 1.15*1.30 = 1.495 or +49.5% damage (almost as much as time-averaged CoE). On the defensive side, against elites, the set provides 1 - (1-0.3)*(1-0.3) = 0.51 or 51% damage reduction (a smidge more than Wraps of Clarity).
So against elites, the set is roughly the same as CoE + Wraps, BUT against non-elites the CoE + Wraps option wins outright. The idea is neat but the numbers tell the story.
On my DH “Cadence” is a build I put together just before I left for work. Did a 95 in just under 4 minutes with terrible maps, 1 keeps and 2 spaghetti. Plan on running it more tonight to see how it goes when I get home from work. Just put on the first pieces of the set I got.
Cool, gonna check that, ty !
I was thinking about a speed GR after that T16 build but had to log off to go to bed !
While this is true for pushing I don’t think that you gain that much from COE while doing speed runs where most mobs even elites should die within a few seconds. And in comparsion the bonuses of Aughild’s are constant. That beeing said IMHO
Warzechian and Nemesis ( one of them cubed ) will be best for keyfarming after your gear get’s better. You can also use Mantle of channeling as constant dps boost and dmg reduction if you wan’t to use Rorg.
I wouldn’t use Wars and cube Nems. Just wear nems. You’ll lose Depth Diggers unless you use RorG in the cube. Use the shadow Power and Smoke Screen runes that give you more speed. You won’t miss the Wars.
The setup I wrote was explicitly meant with Rorg. Of course you don’t want to trade depth diggers for any bracer.
I just put Echoing Fury in the cube. Slot Shadow Power Shadow Glide.
Preparation Focused Mind.
Passives: Hot Pursuit, Blood Vengeance. (The other two can be whatever you like. Tactical Advantage works but it isn’t really needed).
Gems Boon of the Hoarder, Simplicity’s Strength, Wreath of Lightning.
Cube: RoRG, Gunes, Echoing Fury.
Wear Depth Diggers, Avarice Band, and CoE.
Use Vengeance Seethe instead of Dark Heart.
You’ll be good to go. Any more speed than that and to me it’s just wasted unless you’re trying to do the Campaign in 1 hour Conquest.
Edit:
Forgot about Simplicity’s Strength. That’s the gem you want to use. I originally put Teaguk or Bane of the Trapped, but that was wrong.
I’ve had decent results just stacking some RCR on gear (I think I have 3 or 4 RCR rolls on gear for my speedfarming setup), a bit of RCR and then Blood Vengeance is enough, I still run Dark Heart.
Yeah, there’s definitely a point where you’re just TOO fast, and don’t really need the extra movement speed. Maybe if you’re crazy high paragon and have tons of mats and don’t bother to pick anything up and just speed straight through to the RG for keys. But if you’re picking up DBs and legendaries, there’s a point where you’re already fast enough, and going faster doesn’t help all that much.
This on the other hand All speed all the time!
Echoing Fury isn’t the best option, IMO. GoD doesn’t benefit from IAS at all. You’d just get movement speed, which yes is good, but there are better options that will add to the build.
You might be right if we were talking about speed runs in Grifts. But I thought this was discussing T16. In which case, more damage isn’t needed and since the only concern is speed, Echoing Fury is top notch. You gain speed in a weapon slot, in which GoD6 has a free weapon slot. So you can slot Echoing Fury in the cube and get all the speed you really need.
Another option is to use a Yangs just for the Resource Reduction and hit Smoke Screen to your hearts content. Either works and they both equate to principally the same amount of speed.
Without EF, popping SS and a speed pylon, I was almost outrunning the Hungering Arrows.
I prefer the dual wield option for speeds and T16, so there’s only 1 choice for the cube.
That’s the speed pylon at work, it does it with EF too. I take it you’re running FoT?
But really, you don’t need to dual wield in T16. Maybe in Grift, but not in T16.
But I’m not arguing with you. You run what you wanna run and I’ll run what I wanna run.
I don’t need to, just prefer it. That’s what I like about GoD. There are so many ways you can work the set and they are almost all fun and effective. DH is my favorite class and it’s nice to be able to play one again and it be as strong as it used to be plus getting probably the most versatile set the game has ever seen.
Agreed.
Sorry, it’s a little warm outside and I just got done mowing the grass. I took a shower and am trying to cool off, but I’m a bit exhausted and so my attitude isn’t the best right now.
Really sorry, I came off as confrontational. You have my apologies.
