U can tie a rubber band to numlock the controller
zeis is pretty much the worst gem for GoD
There might be some kind of bug. In the PTR, after equipping all the required gear (6 pieces of GoD, Ninth Cirri Satchel, Depth Diggers, etc) I found it extremely hard to kill mobs even on T16. I went over all the gear carefully, then switched to Bolas and Entangling Shot setups, and got the same result. I never did figure out what the heck was going on, but needless to say, a build that can clear GR 150 should not be struggling to clear the equivalent of GR 75, no matter how bad your gear is.
If your experience seems to line up with what Iāve described, you may want to consider recording some video (if such a thing is possible on console- I have no idea) and then submitting a bug report.
I disagree. Thereās just quite a few good choices in which certain gems make more sense given oneās play style, but it is still a really good gem for the set if your build warrants it. Taeguk, Trapped, Zeiās, Simplicity and Stricken are all great choices, but we only have 3 sockets
yeah, no way to really numlock. I consider numlock cheating anywayā¦so thatās off the table for me.
yeah, cubing diggers, canāt remember % on belt, will have to and look. Iāll try and get a d3planner link for you either today or on the weekend. Would appreciate the advice and help to try and understand what Iām doing wrong and why the build sucks for me.
I could kill stuff in t16, but it was way worse than UE MS CCR in terms of dmg, and a LOT more fragile. Iāll have another play with it either today or on the weekend and see if I can upload a video to my YouTube channel to show the performance that Iām getting. Perhaps others can see what Iām doing wrong then. The problem I do have is the icons for telling a player their momentum stacks etc are near impossible for me to read on console - theyāre tiny and unless Iām right up against the screen, I canāt make out what they say, even with my glasses on. I donāt tend to play with my reading glasses because for the main action on screen, I donāt need them. Iām also very focused on the on screen action, so itās hard for me to read the icons or maps even because of this. I have what youād call tunnel vision focus
Numlock isnāt cheating, Blizzard has said so, but I wonāt argue with you about that.
On console on PC without Numlock, then GoD is a button mash fest. Refreshing FoK Bladed Armor and Vengeance, then also (if youāre using Preparation for full uptime on Shadow Power) Preparation, in addition to constant momentum management through manual Hungering Arrow Shots and pressing Shadow Power when needed.
Yeah, GoD is nothing but button mashes from beginning to end.
I feel for you on that front but it seems youād be better off with another build.
GoD is tons easier to play when Numlock is managing cooldowns for you from FoK to Vengence to Preparation or Companion, letting you just control Strafe, Hungering Arrow and Shadow Power.
But again, numlock trick is not cheating. The evidence is that Blizzard allows it to be openly discussed and described how to do it and thereās a post somewhere where they actually say it isnāt against any rules whatsoever.
I had another play with it last night and did better - tried a GR90 and did it with 6 mins to spare (my prior attempts were so bad that I quit the GR and never finished it to spawn the RG). I had a bunch of deaths at the start, but once I got used to using FOK and shadow power, it was better. Still fragile, but better. I also switched out vallaās for fortress ballista for the shield value (cubed) and wore 9th cirri quiver. I switched out COE for elusive in the cube too. I tried a GR95 afterwards and managed it with 4 mins to spare, but had a very bad first floor that had high hit point mobs and had one of the worst densities of any GR flow Iāve ever seen in 4 years of playing the game on console! Had only 2 deaths, so getting the hang of it all. I was able to keep an eye on my momentum stacks and was reliably hitting 20 stacks, and wasnāt running out of hatred (discipline was another issue lol!).
A Gr95 was a win, especially compared to my earlier testing, so Iām happy. Iāll stick to s6 impale as my preferred build, but itās progress.
Thanks for the reply.
I consider it a macro - the traditional meaning of a macro is to map a function to a key for automated functionality. This is exactly what the numlock hack does, and macros are against the TOS of the game. Using numlock removes player skill imho, instead, relying on automation. I know Blizzard has officially said that the numlock hack is OK, but my interpretations of it are that it isnāt. Of course, my interpretations mean very little.
I just tried a GR100 - failed it, 4 mins over, but at least I finished it. Died a bunch of times, bad mobs and again, very low mob density cost me. Itās progress though. Kinda getting the hang of the build, but even at 20 stacks, it does bugger all dmg imho. Thereās no comparison between s6 impale and god build, itās night and day, with the former being much better for me. I donāt know how people are doing 140s with this build.
Lots of paragon, gear and augments. I canāt see your profile on any server, so I donāt know where you could improve. My GoD is on my farming build, or Iād suggest you check mine out. Iāve done 108 with plenty of time to spare with ok gear and no deaths.
Iām just running with my drops, donāt hate.
I was hoping that HA freezes proc cull
I donāt have anything that rolled significantly better than my Calamity, and hatred regen is decent QoL
I didnāt play in PTR so Iām just trying different things out to see how GoD runs
Personally, I hate F/R and CoE, and only swap them in if I have really nice pieces for augmenting.
Iām on console (PS4) so no profile. I did another t16 run earlier today and it was much better than my earlier rift runs - starting to get the hang of the build. Swapping out vallaās for fortress ballista and COE for elusive made a big difference in survivability for me. Itās still very fragile, but much easier to handle.
The biggest issue for me is crappy mobs and really bad density. I can already see that this build requires very good density, otherwise itās not very good imho.
iām going to try and upload a video of my GR100 fail (at least I finished the GR!) tonight, and do a d3planner link too. I think I have only 1 piece ancient, no augments, p800, gems around rank 25. Is a GR95 clear considered good with that sort of low level setup with this set build? I have no idea to gauge what I should be capable of what it at my low level and so-so non-ancient gear.
Some DH gurus tested and confirmed that cold skills/runes donāt imply chill or slow unless the skills/runes explicity state that.
Calamity, being a weapon, has no issue. The problem is on its legendary power. If you donāt mind it doesnāt work as expected, you can continue using it.
Some bug reports said Calamity doesnāt grants momentum stacks. I have tested it myself earlier and cannot replicate the case. I shot the same mob multiple times, the stack incremented by 4 seconds every time. As I donāt plan to use this xbow, I havenāt tested it intensively.
To me, it appears as though bugs are as intended as botting has been. Weāre only starting to officially hear about botting now. If the minor issues are left as is, it just seems like itās left undone because it is deemed inconsequential.
I do mind that Calamity doesnāt work as intended. For me the bug happens with or without Calamity. It gets worse with more interference.
It just sucks because commands get cancelled out instead of them being keyed in immediately and the game catching up during lag, as an example.
It doesnāt work as OUR intention, but it works as designās intention. It was nerfed many patches ago. The behavior had been stated in the patch notes, but no update to its description in-game. I understand why some people said it was bugged, but actually not, it was a NERF.
This is a general issue but I canāt replicate it especially after I switch HA to keyboard. Iād say 95% works fine for me.
if you cant build stacks with calamity its certainly not working as devs intended, imo
and it would, if ha would cause freeze
Cold runes donāt even slow? awww lol
I hate having to explain it so many times, but Iām experiencing the bug as such:
- momentum procs donāt stack about half the times with or without Calamity
- when it does stack, about half the times I just get +1 and it immediately continues to count down
- I havenāt seen any changes whether I hold HA down or repeat cast it
- no visible changes no matter which key I designate HA to
You are confused. Read my posts again, what I said was its ālegendary powerā works as intended. And I had said that I tested calamity, it build stacks normally. Every attack generated 4 seconds of momentum stack.
I couldnāt replicated what people claimed.
Edit: I play GoD builds on all three regions in season. I often check the stack, it stacks normally. I had completed guardian on all three regions, and still playing.
How do you feel about the defense gems? is there a time that moratorium or esoteric come into play?
The same effect that could happen through use of defensive gems can be achieved by simply swapping in Elusive for CoE at the loss of about 50% damage. While replacing an offensive gem for a defensive one can lose even more damage.
Basically, if youāre looking for more defense and donāt mind losing a bit of damage, then just replace CoE with Elusive in the cube. It will cost you less damage than exchanging a damage gem for a defensive one.
Iām still exploring the N6G4 setup, and Iām finding some success. Taeguk is nice, but a bit of Esoteric does have a noticable difference on survivability. Iāve actually started messing with Rimehart in the cube with Devouring Arrow. During the RoV freeze effect, I was also thinking of trying Wreath of Lightning to speed proc as well, but was trying to get my head around the intricacies of interactions that others have found during testing.
