You’d have gotten it 10000 times by now had you started the campaign and got to Act III where Chiltara is guaranteed to appear, every time. But, that’s the harshness of RNG… you can’t predict when it is more efficient to stop wasting time and go for the obvious or try for no whammies and Press Your Luck and get it like a crack addicted gambler at the House of the Rising Sun.
litterally gonna make me quit, how can they think a farm like this is good when its a requirement for player power

How are you searching for it though? There are tricks to it and you may be doing it inefficiently. How are you hunting it down?

No, there is a difference between the Season and the Campaign… if you’re running Campaign Mode and have been for 3 days and only going to the quest where Chiltara is present, then you have some seriously voodoo’d luck and should probably talk to an exorcist to have your Diablo cleansed.

also havent gotta a single primal this season other than the gr70 one, 975 para, this game is just stupid and has no respect for your time

Here’s what I did. Adventure mode. Open game and look at the bridge of Korsikk. If there’s a bounty for Icefall Cave or Glacier, restart game. If there’s a Cavernous Cave, complete the bounty. If there’s no bounty, do a quick loop through the Fields of Slaughter, if I see the Cavernous Cave, go to 2nd level and see if Chiltara is there and kill her. If I see Icefall caves instead, I leave the game and start a new one.
Took me about 3 hours.
Also, I’ve only gotten two primals other than the guaranteed one and I’m paragon 1013. My luck has been pretty bad as well.

that way is less effiecient than what im doing
i get almost triple the chitara kills doing it via the campaign, but like ive killed here a good 400-500 times, and nothing

pretty terrible game design to require luck to enjoy it, it a seasonal game blizz, noone wants to spend 50+ hours farming a staff of hearding jsut to sacrifice it lool, these guys get dumber and dumber every year

I got it in 7 tries doing the campaign trick. Hard to believe you have done 400+ and not got it. The drop rate is low, but not that low.

It’s a pain in the butt, I got it yesterday after 3 days. I’ve made this staff before multiple times and the gemstone was never this hard before.

Without evidence, we can either believe you madly and on faith or not. Intelligent folk choose the latter.

It’s not really a sacrifice if what you’re giving up isn’t something of value.
But yes, the stupid gemstone takes far too long to farm. It is unbelievably annoying to have to simply remake games for many hours to run a single map, and then reset it when the one thing you want inevitably doesn’t drop. It took 124 runs for me to get one, and here’s the best part. I cleaned up the Altar with the last 3 sacrifices, then started a new game to bounties and sure enough, that very next game, bounty sent me to Chiltara, who dropped a second one. Checked Cathedral lvl 1, and sure enough, mushrooms there. The very next game, mysterious chest in the Mysterious Cave, and liquid rainbow #2 was mine. RNG is a capricious mechanic. I think it enjoys trolling players.
I remember having this in my non-seasonal stash before S28 started. I forgot what it was for and where I got it and had to look it up. It’s one of those things that tend to drop when you’re not looking for it (i.e. when you’re doing numerous Bounty runs).
Anyway, yeah, it’s a stupid thing to require for the Altar. It’s more tedious than looking for the Cursed Chest Conquest. I think I might just do some Bounties every day and maybe I’ll get lucky that way. Of course, I’m still not even at the point of needing the staff for the Altar (my pace is glacial).
There are no tricks. Its all RNG lol.
This is like people that think they have a trick to make slot machines win LOL!!
Its Random based on the current drop rate.
