Hello! Is 5 days that I’m trying to get the gibbering gemstone, farming the boss Chiltara for 3/4 hours per day and still nothing. Is this normal or there is some bug? Sorry if this is stupid but I’m new to the game.
Bas luck is not a bug. That item is rare.
well, how do I know is just bad luck? I actually know nothing of this game 
Now i know is that, but tbh i consider rare 1 drop every, idk, 50 run, not 0 in 150 kills meh. Is actually very frustating and force you to play a boring mechanic over and over again

If you think getting Gibbering Gemstone is frustrating than you obviously never reforged any item to get a good primal out of it. Some players get it in few tries while others need hundreds or even more tries…

Did you farm the pattern first? the blacksmith recipe I mean
Purely anecdotal but I found I always got the gemstone quicker after I farmed the recipe first.
Also one thing to note, is difficulty has no effect on the droprate, so you have the same chance to get it on normal as on t16
So really just go for lowest difficulty and stack movement, and remember that only 1 of the dungeons can spawn per game, so while farming for Caverns of Frost, if you see “Icefall Caves” save time and exit game rather than looking for caverns of frost elsewhere on the map.
Other than that it’s just RNG being RNG, it apparently has a 5% droprate but I’ve had it drop on first kills all the way up to 400 kills, so just keep at it, it will drop eventually

It is bad luck because it has abysmally low drop rate. And remember, previous fails do not affect future chances. Just because it has failed to drop a million times before, it doesn’t mean the next million attempts aren’t fails as well.

Yep! Relogging everytime i don’t have the quest and already have all the other items, I’ll just keep try. And as I already said, I’m sorry if you find the question silly but I play from 3 weeks, and i think that my doubt was understandable, since all the news I’ve found online are “item is rare” “Chiltara was bugged times ago”. Yes, but only by the unending supply of threads about the low drop rate of the Gibbering Gemstone from people that haven’t obtained it yet.
You actually just sound frustrated 
maybe playing over and over the same things have just annoyed you. Said I’m new, said I’ve googled. There’s another game with kind people like you, is called Overwatch, nice community, join them 
A Google search for gibbering gemstone drop rate returns this as the very first result…
Gemstone drop rate is approximately 5%, but as of patch 2.0.5 the spawnrate of Chiltara has been increased.
The map has two possible dungeons, only one of which can contain Chiltara which means that 50% of the games you start won’t have the dungeon in. When you find the correct dungeon, Chiltara may not be spawned in that dungeon (let’s say 25%). When you find Chiltara and kill her, she may not drop the gem (95% of the time).
50% of games, the dungeon’s not there
25% of the correct dungeon, Chiltara’s not there
95% of the Chiltara kills, the gem’s not dropped
Using those percentages, if you ran the map 1000 times, you’d only expect to get the gem 18-19 times. It’s a really, really bad drop-rate.
Of course, once you find the gemstone (and the other ingredients), obtain the crafting recipe from Izual and make the staff, then you can enjoy some really hard hunting. Every time you create a game instance you can use the staff to enter Whimsyshire. Whimsyshire has an incredibly low chance to have a rare mob inside it which drops a rainbow portrait frame. If you’re put off by the search for the gemstone, don’t even start hunting for the frame. Some people have done hundreds / thousands of runs to obtain that one.

It’s rare, and it is still dropping.
I got it this season in a bounty to Caverns of Frost.
