It would be great if we didn’t have to take off gems every time we switched characters and wanted to use the Armory tool without issues.
Anyone see any potential problems with this quality of life request ?

Not sure of your suggestion. The wardrobe is wings, pets and portrait frames not jewels. The armory is where you keep different weapon sets.
Different Characters (HC or Regular) share stash. Different Characters do not share armory. All Characters (HC and Regular) share Wardrobe.
Seasonal and Non-seasonal Characters only share Wardrobe.
Are you suggesting that all jewels, both regular and Legendry, be placed in the Wardrobe? Won’t happen. The Wardrobe does not keep an inventory of individual items. In the Wardrobe, you either have an item or you don’t have an item.

Yes If we didn’t have to pull out jewels and place then I’m our stash so that we can use them with the Armory tool on another character that would be an amazing quality of life improvement.
The armory tool only holds 6 sets. If it were available to more than one character, you would have to rebuild sets frequently if you play more than one set per character or want to save sets in the Armory to make equipping upgraded pieces easier when acquired playing another set.
Some sets work well in certain situations. To complete many of the more obscure achievements without have to modify gear, you need multiple sets. You need multiple sets to complete Dynasty and Years of War. You may want to save different sets to push rifts and to farm.
It is easier to switch jewels than it is to build sets from scratch.
I think I need to clarify what I’m saying. Let say I have a barbarian and crusader. Both characters use my royal strength gems and max level bane of the trapped in their Armory sets. All I’m saying is that it’s a bit annoying that I need to remove the gems from my barb, stash them in the inventory before I log on to my crusader to load his Armory set with no issues. It would be cool if I could leave those gems on the barb, log onto my crusader, click on my crusader Armory set and it auto pulled the gems similar to how it does it now from the stash .
I usually run with 5-6 characters each season and sometimes lose track of who has what gem and need to then log in to each one to find the one gem. Super annoying.
This would be great, it can be annoying.
I guess I’ve just gotten used to the process so don’t pay it a lot mind, though I still get caught with forgetting stuff (not just legendary gems) on characters sometimes.
They function like an item, as in they drop and you need to equip it, so not sure how they could implement it to fit with how the current game works.
The end result, however, would be a welcomed QoL addition imo.
I understand what you are saying but the way the game is set up, if the Barb’s wearing them, you can’t put them on your Crusader. The best way I’ve found is to save the set you are using on a character in the Armory. When you decide to switch to a different character, unload all the jewels and put them in stash. When you switch to the new character, go to the armory and load the set you want to play. If you always unload before you switch characters, you won’t be having to hunt through characters to find the jewels you need.
Yes, what you are suggesting would be nice but I don’t see Blizz making any changes like this.
