anyone know of good gaming earbuds with a mic…I’m trying to steer away from headset mics for reasons that are too long to get in to.
I checked on Amazon but there are so many options and they’re pretty cheap in price so idk how good their quality will be. I’m willing to spend $50-$80 CAD
Earbud mics are generally rather inferior in quality to headset mics, and both are inferior to a dedicated microphone. If you want the most freedom, a good condenser microphone such as the Blue Yeti X coupled with a boom arm, pop filter, and shock mount are the way to go. Then you can just use a foot pedal or push to talk key to trigger the mic in-game.
One of the reasons earbud mics aren’t great is because of their size and positioning. You’re going to sound a lot worse on one of those than a headset or dedicated mic. We’re talking cellphone quality here, which is what most earbud mics are used for.

hmmm well I would be okay with getting earbuds and a separate mic.
I can’t really use a headset at the moment so I need a good option. Maybe something with smaller ear phones perhaps something that sits on the ear instead of covering the ear completely
Edit: Actually, try these earbuds. You’ll need to see if you can ship it to Canada, but that might be your best bet to avoid exacerbating whatever is preventing you from using a regular headset.

hmmm very interesting design…I’ve never seen a head set that is as malleable as this one. thx it’s something to consider…only problemo is it’s $145 cad. If I’m gonna spend that much I wanna make sure it’s good quality, i’ll read some reviews on it
LG is usually pretty good with their stuff. Kinda sad they’re leaving the cellphone business. They had some of the best non-bloatware stuff out there. Now it’s Samsung (bloated) or bare-bones Google phones.
WHAT…noooooooo, I didn’t know about this, I love LG phones I’m actually currently using an LG G6…damn that IS sad
Earbuds incredible expensive these days.
After research for a while and compared the infos, i think the ,jabra elite 85t’ are atm the qualitative best earbuds. But they cost arround 200$ and like others said, ear buds micro quality never can be so good like a normal mic - that is because the distance from the ears to the mouth .
I don’t think that u will find what u need for 60$. But when u do, let me know pls.
