Game wont let me install

hit install on the beta installation and the new window just keeps loading no steps available to begin install and the battle net logo just keeps spinning any ideas

Hey there Bladex91,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out! When the installation gets stuck at this state, it can have a few causes ranging from corrupted local files to a network-related problem. Try the following to narrow this down further:

  1. Try a DNS Flush to clear out any corrupted or stagnate data.
  2. Fully update or temporarily uninstall security programs which may be interfering with your connection to the server(s). More information on troubleshooting security applications here, if curious.
  3. Test an alternate network such as a mobile hotspot to determine whether the problem is isolated to your current network.

If you have no luck, try reinstalling the Battle.net Desktop App to solve a variety of potential file-related issues. Here are the instructions:

  1. Uninstall the Blizzard Battle.net App (skip Step 6 for now, we will re-install later).

  2. Next (before re-installing) let’s delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders in the Windows temporary file locations below. If you don’t see all 3 folders in each location, that is okay—just delete the folders you have):

    • Press Windows Key + R and type: %LOCALAPPDATA%. Delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders.
    • Repeat the process for %APPDATA%, %TEMP%, and %PROGRAMDATA%. Delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders.
  3. Finally, re-install the App.

I having the same issue as the previous user. I tried the fixes you listed, but I’m still getting spinning logo after clicking install. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try spinning the screen the opposite direction. Make sure you stay focused on the screen. If at any point you fall down from dizziness do not repeat.

I would suggest doing a shutdown-> restart of your windows.

And make sure to do it properly. IE, click shut down logo, Power, then CHOOSE restart. Very important. Most Windows 8 and 10 machines are configured to use fast start which screws things up. You either have to disable fast start, or make sure to choose restart from the shutdown menu.

Give that a go and try again. I find that Windows 10 when using fast start tends to get stupid. And when it gets stupid, other things get stupid. Easiest fix is to restart.

Might not hurt to power down and power back up your internet devices. (modem, router, modem/router combo, etc)
