Game reset, at start of Season 34 with ads and no characters

I just logged in and, after being shown a host of new exciting features like Temple of the Firstborn and a freshly started Season 34, was prompted to create a new character. All my old characters (10 of them) are not appearing anywhere, and it’s as if I just started the game for the first time ever.

I did not reinstall or do anything, I played normally as recently as last evening.

What is going on??? Am I dreaming?

Pay attention to the region you are launching the game in…

All your heroes are on Europe.

The new hero you created today is on America.

Wow, that’s really it, thanks! But how did it spontaneously switch to America? I have never in my life entered the region choice menu.

The Desktop App just does that sometimes.
