Anyone testing the new amd driver in D2R alpha? Or its only work in full release?
My system ran open Beta fine with no temperature issues (although I’m only running a 2k monitor not 4k like some are), but I always keep my video drivers up to date, so now that Radeon has an update for it, I just installed it. Thanks for the heads up!
I don’t think it existed yet in alpha?
are these drivers still interesting to get if I’m going to play in a 1080p resolution only ?
I’ve always been worried to update things when everything works fine so far, so I’m wondering if it’s worth the risk to brick something in the process.
I suppose I could also try the game with my current drivers and if everything looks fine not bother to update them, otherwise just grab the new drivers ?
I knew there had to be some note worthy news in this morass of complaints that is also known as diablo forums!
Are you on nVidia or AMD? I can’t speak to nVidia side of things as I’m using an AMD, but my rig ran the Beta just fine with the drivers I had at the time. The release notes for the latest Radeon AMD drivers (which I have since installed) mention a 13% performance boost for D2R specifically, but as you said, if you’re running at only 1080p you’ll probably have plenty of frames for D2:R and never notice the difference, if it’s the same deal on the Team Green side of things.

Nvidia patch notes
I do have a NVIDIA card, my specs are such as follow :
i5 7600k
GTX 1070
16 gb ram
I always played in 1080p and never bothered to go higher or buy a new monitor to be fair.
I don’t know if my computer specs are gonna be enough to run to game correctly, but according to their recommanded specs they seem okay (I’m doubtful about my CPU tho)
My rig ran the beta fine
Nvidia GeForce gtx 960m
I7 6700hq 2.60ghz
8 gig ram
