Multiple instances of the game locking up in GR’s. Each time had to go to task manager to kill the game.
Could be a driver issue. Check to see if your drivers are up-to-date.

I just experienced what you were talking about… I hit escape to “pause” the game to light a cigarette and “unpaused” and the game was completely frozen… on a push GR too nonetheless. I was way ahead of timer for rank 1 
I have this issue from long time ago. It is the audio.dll they are using (at least for me).
Coz when I replace the audio.dll with the one from Hearthstone, for instance, the game never freezes. I have no sound in that case though.
It was mentioned multiple times this was fixed, but I’m experiencing this problem on both my desktop and laptop.
Search for Fmodex64.dll freeze on the forums here, and try to see if what is described there is similar to the issues you have.
