It seems that D3 might crash on Windows if have latest updates intalled.
Sound it is causing the crash.
An update is needed… there is a workarround presented by Wudijo, to replace a dll file inside D3 folder with the one from Heartstone. But this might be considered modification of D3 files and you might be banned for that.
Longstandig Bug
After upgrading to Windows 10 2004, games freeze for a few seconds and then continue many times in the different scenes. During freeze time, the mouse pointer can move around normally.
Checking the D3Debug.txt in the directory, the time of game freezing is matched to the time of the error of FMOD system.
Is there any ‘official’ solution for this issue?

The workaround has also been around for a long time.
I’m seeing FMOD errors in my D3Debug.txt. I disabled my onboard sound card. Currently using a USB DAC in my Vanatoo T0 speakers.
