I had posted a while back of a fun easter egg nod in Tristram for D3 where you can still see the crashed jail post where the hero rescued Cain back in D2, and it just dawned on me there’s another:
When you TP to Ruins of Sescheron on Adventure mode and go into the keep, just outside you can see a large blood splatter. This is from the opening cinematic from D2:LOD where an old Barbarian says go away to Baal and Baal blows him up. Lol.
I mean I know we all like to rip on Blizzard corporate, but you gotta admit the creative team is where the heart is to put fun things like that in. I hope in D4 when you revisit all the old places and new places throughout Diablo 2 and 3 that they also throw in more easter eggs
I never got why they made Baal a spider clown though, lol. I thought he was already bad-as as undead mummy tal’rasha and then as the dark voldemort dude. I remember I laughed when I first saw that intro cinematic.
But you gotta admit Baal was terrifying far more than Mephisto I’ll stand around and wait for you to kill me and Diablo I don’t know what I’m doing so ima bounce around the map, hope I hit something.
i admit, the transformation from tal rasha to baal confused me to, but i figure that he underwent a complete transformation, like the dark wanderer to diablo. also, mephisto already did the undead mummy thing.
D2r Barbarian looks like a drunkard retard. When he wears a regular helmet it looks like its on crocked and he looks like he’s been hit in the head too many times. As a mater of fact, all the D2r “Heros” look horrible. The Amazon is actually an ugly man in drag.
