During my last GR I noticed a strange buff icon I had never seen before. It’s a picture of a treasure chest and the description was “Fortune - Your chances of finding magic items and gold is greatly increased”. I don’t know how I got this and I’ve never seen it before. What is this about? I have a picture of it but I don’t know how to attach it in this post.
One of the shrines in the regular world is a fortune shrine. You can get this some time doing bounties. It is antiquated and really does pretty much nothing, since they nerfed the living hell out of magic find just before ROS.

May be you were playing a plain Nephalem Rift and found a Shrine or you were playing public bounties before everyone left so you noticed that buff late. Else you were playing in a group and what you saw is not Fortune buff but Strength in Numbers. If you insist that it’s indeed Fortune buff I must add there’s no shrine in GRs that I know of, it must have come from elsewhere.
This JUST happened and I took a picture. I paused the game while still in the GR and asked in chat about it but nobody answered. With 100% certainty I can tell you it was hardcore, solo, in a Greater Rift and indeed a Fortune buff and not strength in numbers. The pictures I took confirms all of this. Furthermore, I was spamming GRs doing nothing in between so there is no place other than a GR that it could possibly have occurred.

You can not attach a gif or pic to your post, not hotlink anything until you reach the required Trust Level in the forums.
Assuming you are using the enchantress as your follower, it is her weapon that caused what you saw.
