I have no issue with the effects but my settings caused a issue with the colours to be over saturated made it hell to see, i noticed my gamma in the middle setting was really bright and even if i slide it all the way left i could still see background image,this was causing very blown out glowing colours,i seem to have finally found a balance so try this if this seems like something you are dealing with
Brightness 50
Contrast 50
saturation 50
temp normal
for monitor setting try something like above
For Nvidia card i had to also go into adjust desktop color settings
brightness 50
contrast i put to 0 - 20 but i am still experimenting with it
gamma 0.80
digital vibrance 50
This helped me get the in game gamma more to where it should be and its much more enjoyable to look at imo, experiment and hopefully it will help you have a better experience good luck
