You play like 10-20 rifts for one scream, which in turn gives you 2minutes of gameplay.
I was really looking forward to play the new echoing nightmare rift a lot. But with this low droprate it just feels very unrewarding and basically like non-season.
Please buff the droprate
hard stay motivated for season when season “event” so rare.
Let’s face it, this thing was ill conceived from the start.
Why all the gatekeeping? The XP rate was absurd on the PTR, but that can be adjusted in multiple ways independent of drop rate. The quantity of augments is already heavily restricted by the time required to gather normal gems. This became an augment shortcut that’s barely shorter than just getting augments in the normal way. So why not just let people play the mode? Why the absurdly low drop rate.
Who does this mode serve in the end. It’s too risky for hardcore play given its low effectiveness rate. It’s too inefficient for solo play given the low drop rate. It’s difficult to coordinate for groups given there’s no public option. It’s simply really, really poorly thought out and that’s a shame.
Yesterday i got 7 out of around 25 GRifts. Today not one out of around 60 GRifts. I thouht that they disabled the mode 
but it seems that i got just a lucky start.
P600, 7 hours play, countless GR’s done, ONE petrified scream.
Horrendeous.
As soon as I get the lollypop pet, I will be done with this season.

In Rhykkers gaming news clip today he said the drop rate went for 100% to 5%.
I am sure many players will view the EN as total waste of time if they cannot even try it.
So how are the xp rewards now after the patch?
Haven’t reached level 70 yet.
A very poor shame that the season effect is not even available until the game is over.
Sincerely I don’t think I’ll even see the seasonal theme at this point. As soon as I’m done with Guardian I’ll be gone.

I was done with guardian roughly 5 hours after season start, I didn’t see a single one. Luckily my friend got 2 so at least I got to enter the thing.
Same old idiocy. Extreme rarity is not content it’s absence of content. A whole decade and they haven’t learned the most basic principles.
I would say buff them to around 20% which is one and five rifts roughly. Or return them to the 1:1 GR but change multiplayer where all in the group would need to spend a scream to enter the same one. I do believe the reason they heavily nerfed the drop rate of the scream is because of how multiplayer would be way ahead of solo. In groups if it were 1:1 as it stands now just wait till you have enough for a long run maybe 10. Then in a group of four you have forty. This is what I believe that wanted to avoid. They can do it by making it like I said where each player has to spend a scream to enter the same nightmare as his team mates and return the drop rate to 1:1, or possibly a 50% drop rate.
They should have just left it 100% drop but made it a shared key system like grift keys so four player groups didn’t get to run 4x as many per grift.
What they did instead was make it dramatically worse for solo players and dramatically increased the gap between solo and group players in terms of access to this content.
I wasn’t going to play this season, but I didn’t have anything else to do this weekend, so I figured I’d give it a go.
I would say this theme sucks, but what theme? On the PTR the GRs actually seemed improved. So far, nothing but keeps and corvus. So scratch that. On the PTR the petrified screams dropped aplenty. Now, they don’t drop at all. So no, the theme doesn’t suck. There just isn’t one.
It went from being a theme to being a scheme (to upset the player base).
