For crying out loud

People seem to want to gloss over the fact that the playable demo was basically a "Here are some ideas and the direction we are going introduction " They only allowed 15 minuets of play on it and it has been reported that they actually have over 2 hours of game play that could have been opened up.

This game is a LONG LONG way from done or any thing finalized . It could and probably will get massive over hauls long before there is any thing close to a demo released to the public ( IMHO it will be next Blizzcon we get one ). Just like they did with D3 .

I am getting very very tired of all the well D4 should have this like D2 or that like D2 whining and crying . If you really want features like D2 just go play the dam game already and stop complaining until you actually have something to complain about .

I love all the “I’m not buying D4 unless it has/doesn’t have something” threads. Those really crack me up.

We aren’t stupid. Most of those saying that will buy the damn game anyway. lol

But yeah, people need to really take a chill pill.

There’s a difference in whining for no reason and actually providing constructive feedback to the developers in hope that they listen and take it to their consideration when building this game in the early stages.

Now is the time to make your voice heard (professionally) not when it’s almost ready for launch, then it’ll be too late to make drastic changes but yes people need to keep it civil and constructive or it won’t matter.

People crying about people crying. That’s usually a sign something has run it course.

Maybe it’s time for the mods to delete the threads that say nothing and consolidate the rest into one big D4 topic.

You are correct but what is annoying me are basically players demanding this and demanding that .Constructive hopes and wants are one thing but demands are something totally different . Which a lot of the topics may start out as valid thoughts and suggestions quickly turn into " I know whats best for D:IV " Or " It Needs to have this or that Or I will not buy it ". Or the best one’s involve how it looks nothing like D2 but it should.

Or even over in another post now this is the best one yet " I’m a game developer " so I know what is best for the game and every one involved.

I have a novel idea.
A truly revolutionary way of looking at this kind of problem.
Ready?

Wait.
Blizzard built a brand new engine that allows fast creation of maps for D4 and a load of new mechanics that will be unique to the Diablo franchise.
The gameplay looks smooth and satisfying.
The art style is great and better represents the grim looking world of D2.
They already fully designed 3 out of 5 classes and left themselve a lot of room for changes.
We don’t know how much of the game is already completed, but we do know they are at the point where max lvl is 40, but they don’t know if that will stand or if they increase it.
We don’t know much about itemization, only that legendaries, epics and mythical items don’t have randomized mods (based on the legendaries that dropped in the demo).

Just let blizzard work on the game and post constructive feedback.
Constructive feedback does not include: Change everything and just do D2 2.0

I would love to see more of this personally .For a very very long time now they promise interaction but basically hid behind their desks. I think this will start to change as more and more details come out or at least I hope it does . They have the potential to really rally a lot of the community into a strong group of supporters that honestly over the years have posted some amazing ideas.

Oh another go play D2 if you want something like D2 thread again.
Ohhhh the irony.

I don’t really know why we didn’t get along many moons ago.

We don’t have a D4 forum yet and the D3 team is not having enough time to make a section just for D4. That’s why we have to see D4 thread for pretty much the next 1,5-2 years, for now.

Because I defended Blizzard’s right to enter the mobile games market with Diablo Immortal hahahaha

Funny thing is I probably wont play it, but I just understand why it made sense for them make it

I remember now you communist scum.
I’m only kidding. Love you bai

Really I do not mind the D4 posts but it is the constant whining that this or that in the D4 demo was not like D2 but should be more like D2 in posts or replies to posts that drives me crazy …

Yeah, I was really excited to see the trailer… and then they were all like, “not even Blizzard soon.”

Ah. Okay. Fair enough. It’s years away people.

Years.

What they showed at blizzcon was an early tech demo of the assets they’ve currently cobbled together.

I cant really see it being “years out”. They said that they are planning for its release on the current consoles and no mention of the next generation consoles, unless I missed it somewhere.

I wish they would let us download and try the demo that was at Blizzcon.

I’m just waiting for the buzz to pass and the D3 forum to go back to being a D3 forum

i totally agree whit you. i still play d2 fropm time to time people that complain about d2 havent played that game ever or has played a long long time ago. while a remastered diablo 2 would be cool if i can choose, i choose that blizzard put all the time and effort on making Diablo 4 a great game like d1, d2 and d3
