Follower Set Bonuses?

Been away for a long while. Do followers activate & benefit from set bonuses now?

Wondering if I should kit my follower out with an XP bonus set like Cains and Borns while leveling. And is the player XP benefit from follower XP gear still 20%?

We’re introducing a new Follower feature into Diablo III called Emanate, which allows the player to gain the intended effect of certain Legendary Powers and Set Bonuses when equipped on the hired Follower. The current list of items with Emanate capabilities are the following:

  • Broken Crown
  • Homing Pads
  • Spaulders of Zakara
  • Goldskin
  • Custerian Wristguards
  • Nemesis Bracers
  • Gladiator Gauntlets
  • Gloves of Worship
  • Dovu Energy Trap
  • Rakoff’s Glass of Life
  • Avarice Band
  • Krede’s Flame
  • The Flavor of Time
  • Sage’s Journey (3-piece set bonus)
  • Cain’s Destiny (3-piece set bonus)

Born’s doesn’t emanate.

I dont know about an other benefits, but the XP from a follower wearing Borns transfers from follower to player. Just went and tested it after I made his post.

Some portion of most “Adventure” stats (gold find, xp bonus, magic find) have always “emanated” from the follower to the character. Nothing combat-relevant though.

AFAIK Legendary gems don’t work on followers still.

There is still a hard cap of 150% crit dmg on the follower but doesn’t appear to be a crit chance % cap anymore.

Mutilation Guard and Esoteric work on Followers but none of the others. But those gems on a well geared follower allows the follower to not go with the Immortality Relic up to 120’s and low 130’s.

Also Enforcer worn by you benefits them. Cooldown reduction only works for Templars Heal ability. They can proc some legendary powers like Cord of Sherma.

Depends also wich leveling you mean, if you mean for season start you will not have the plans or the mats to craft them

Is Emanate still active in D3 Season 28, and if it is, has the list of items that support it in D3 changed since Season 23?

Will Emanate be active in D4, and if it will be, what are them items that will support Emanate?

D4 doesn’t have followers.

I think followers haven’t been changed since S23. Although we now have a new (crafted) set: guardian, which allows a fully decked out follower to kindof survive all the way up to GR150 without cant-die token.
