Follower Main Stat Issue!

Heh. I haven’t gotten jack all for drops. The only legendary drop I’ve gotten so far while leveling up is Leoric’s and it doesn’t emanate. Farmed act 2 until I got the gloves, but I’m wearing those on my DH since they were a massive upgrade from the previous gloves.

Really wish DBs dropped from LV 1 onward. Having to wait until LV 61 at a minimum outside of the challenge rift cache feels really crappy. I’d like to actually be able to use the cube while leveling.

Oh well. Par for the course when you factor in my Shadowlands raid gear drops (virtually nonexistent). :woman_shrugging:

Did you submit a bug report MaxCarnage?

If you don’t submit a bug report, it won’t get looked at.

^ This, and Shen as well. I hate having to de-equip the follower. It is especially bad when you have the same item and you go to Shen to socket and there’s no obvious visual clue to which item to put a gem into, especially if its a jewelry.

Or the powders from Squirt maybe? Like the gem conversion recepie in the cube.

Yes well if you want the 25k main stat sweet spot augmenting is not enough.

Yep, and for most people that ‘Sweet Spot’ really won’t make a heck of a lot of difference. If you are a single class player, equip the follower w your main stat for pushing so you can optimize it, and choose another for T16’s where it won’t matter one bit.

Even I would love to be able to do it all (as far as gearing up followers goes) with one class I know that I will not be able to, at least at the moment. So below is how I would go about playing the same build you are playing in season. The only thing that is eluding me at the moment is Gloves of Worship.

I wouldn’t worry about the Scoundrel. The only two you need to worry about is the Enchantress and the Templar. The Templar you can gear up using your barb. The Templar is good for speedy GRs and pushes. Where the Enchantress is good for speedy normal rifts and maybe bounties.

So you will only need one more character for the season to be set and it can by any int class. Just play them long enough to get to level 70 and you don’t have to do much after that.

The way I would handle it if I were playing seasons I would first figure out the build. If it is the WW barb then I would just rebirth my barb and one other int class. Get that second class to level cap. Then when farming for the gear for my barb I would use the barb to farm for the Blood Shards, Keys, etc… Then use the int class to gamble for the Enchantress. The follower gear doesn’t have to be the best either. All we need is about 25k main stat total (which is 10k * 2.5 (multiplier that followers get per stat point)).

This way makes it easier than trying to get up all of them. Also I will find ways of using max roll website that tells you how to gear up the followers for the builds that you are using. Where I will only have to have one set of gear instead of having two or three sets for each.

True through Season 22, but OMG, the emenates can be so nice now!

Actually, all you need is a new L1 character started in Adventure mode to use for Mystic rolls for a different main stat. That takes a whole 2 minutes if you’re lazy and slow.

AND it should NOT be counted as a change so you can still reroll another buff.

It’s still not a solution. It’s a workaround. The whole point here is to find a way so that one doesn’t have to do that!

Also many of us have zero free character slots left and don’t want to create/rebirth another character into season. It takes more than 2 min in many cases because of needing to rearrange stash and storing the gear there before rebirth.

In addition a little reminder:

The Stone Gauntlets now drop for all classes so that one doesn’t have to create barb or crusader to acquire them. The Blackthorne pants have an elemental affix so that one doesn’t have to create a WD to acquire Swamp Land Waders.

Both of those QoL changes were made precisely the very same reason people want an actual solution for this follower gearing issue. To avoid pointlessly wasting character slots to create level 1 characters.

Main stats should never have been applied on items, they are a property of a character. Blizzard mixed up the basic concepts of RPG and completely screwed up the game mechanics and it’s loot system. Maybe they should play some D&D tabletop games to figure out how bad they messed up. If they ever make a race simulator they’ll probably put the horsepower on the driver instead of the car and call it creative game design.

Am I crazy for thinking this should be a simple fix? Kani cube recipe, item + gem with stat of choice. Only works on gear with a primary damage stat, gem level dependant on gear level.

Yes sir, you are crazy with all your crazy talk and idea’s!

Stop it! If you make anymore sense you threaten the fabric of D3 reality! :stuck_out_tongue:
