Can someone explain why we have to add “Blizzard” to the link? Mine changes so fast when I click on the profile, that I don’t have time to add it and it takes me to the starting page.

They changed the URLs for Armoury profiles over two months ago…

They did not update the “View Profile” links from the forums to point to the updated URLs.

Also, if you view the profile of someone that doesn’t play on the US region, you’ll see a page saying there isn’t a profile, but with links to EU and Asia. Those links are also broken as they direct you to a URL with .co in it instead of .com in it, so the link fails.

Then there’s the fact that the Armoury site itself has been broken for at least a month now, where some heroes on an account will display fine, and others will just give “500 internal server error” responses. For once, this doesn’t just appear to be a front-end error, because previously, even when the Armoury site would fail, I could go to d3planner and import my profile, pick a hero, and give a link to that instead. Now when I try to do that, d3planner tells me there’s no profile to import.

Short version: This has been broken for a couple of months and Blizzard seem entirely uninterested in fixing it.

Hi,

Correct… the starting page should look like this once you log in:

(ie, if you aren’t logged in, it gives you a message to "Log in now to enhance… ".

Click on View profile and it will take you to your profile. This will only work for the active region… ie, if the URL starts with “us”, it will bring you to your Americas region profile. If the URL starts with “eu”, it will bring you to your Europe region profile. At least, that’s what mine does.

Now… that’s “OK” (sort of) if you only want to view your own profile. What if you want to see someone else’s profile. A trick is to bookmark your profile in your browser, open your profile, and modify your profile URL with the BattleTag of the person you are trying to view the profile of. It’s very cumbersome, to say the least.

You should always be careful to use “hotlinks” like above (to char 154378033).
If this toon gets deleted, the link is broken.

Use a general link, like this one instead:

This problem seems to have been resolved, at least until further notice.

All my chars can be displayed now, both on this and on my main account.

Still doesn’t work for me. And I’m only trying to get to the career page too.

Hmm, don’t know, why it would not work for you, but I could look at all your characters and your career page.

Make sure to use the correct domain name, i.e. diablo3.Blizzard.com

Yeah, I included the ‘blizzard’ in the URL but still nothing. Both my accounts are having this issue. See below:

https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en/profile/Mugsy-6765/career

https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en/profile/SwankyDevil-1805/career

Checked the second account, too. No error 500 on any character or the career page.

Maybe try to delete your browser‘s cached files?!

Good suggestion. That did the trick!

Hmm, it seems RockyXXVI is working again (I didn’t need to clear cache)…

Also confirmed that d3planner now successfully finds my profile.

However, they still haven’t fixed the “View Profile” button on the forums to point to the right URL (i.e. it’s still missing blizzard from the target URL).

For me, that Button DOES point to the url including „Blizzard“, verified for my own and Mugsy‘s profile, although it still does not automatically take you to the correct region.

However, my seasonal barb shows outdated p-level, I‘m at around 570, give or take 10, not the 528 that‘s displayed.

Ah, they’ve changed something.

When I clicked on “View Profile” for Mugsy, it still initially took me to…
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/Mugsy-6765/

After a couple of seconds it then redirected me to…
https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Mugsy-6765/hero/1346870

Whereas previously, the redirect was to the Diablo III homepage.

Taking a look at your profile…
https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/BarahirHC-2331/
…it shows that you have no US profile (unsurprising as your Battlenet ID’s numeric portion starts with a 2, indicating a home region of EU) and the EU link on that page now points to…
https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/BarahirHC-2331/
…so includes the m at the end of .com now.

@mugsy

Both links work fine 4 me.

Yeah, they’ve fixed some of the issues since the thread was started 3 days ago.
