Firebird causes massives lags

it’s literally firebird. solo play - wonderful. group of 4 no firebird - wonderful. get in any lobby with 1 firebird - absolute tank lags. there’s something about the graphic, or area of effect that’s causing the lag for me. it’s only when firebird is on screen my game tanks. i’ve played with firebird, and we’ve been on opposite sides of the map, and it’s been fine. again, whenever i’m on screen with a firebird it’s the worst lag i’ve experienced in 9 years.

I believe you, but it isn’t just firebird, like we’ve been saying.

The sound setting tip I got from someone made it a whole lot better. Its not 100% gone but at least GR120 went a lot smoother than before changing it.

Ah apparently Area Damage is the culprit.

wrong! it literally is firebird. have never had an issue in any prior season. once i get into a lobby with a wiz. the game tanks.

Look at all the threads about this and even the posts in this thread explaining it isn’t just firebirds. I’ve never played with firebirds or with a firebirds player in the history of the game and I am getting this solo on a leapquake barb.

Stop saying that all of us are wrong like we are lying.

I think everyone’s right. The bug may be particularly noticeable with firebirds, but I am getting small pauses on my solo whirlrend barb (on Windows PC) I did not have in previous seasons. They’re small and infrequent enough that the game is still playable, which is why you may see fewer threads about it, but it’s disappointing to have this happen now after many years of being smooth.

It also literally does not matter if you have a beast of a machine either.

While they’re fixing the messed up Wizard , maybe they could bump up the DH class some too BTW . What did they do , hire a bunch of amateurs to keep Diablo III going ? And the game in general has lag issues , not just with Wizards .

CoE Definitely causes lag on Wizards even with only a 2 piece bonus. Tested in Solo play and in groups. Tried with 2 - 6 piece bonus. All lagged with CoE. Removed CoE and everything was smooth in Solo play. Now add a FB wizard into a group situation with area dmg, even Without CoE, you’ll get that stutter lag/1 second pausing. With 0 area dmg and no CoE, things seem to run smoothly for everyone. Tested with 1 - 4 Wizards in a group running no CoE/Area dmg. Ran smooth. ONE Wizard put on area dmg and you get lag. More than one, the lag gets worse. Add in a CoE at any point and it’s unplayable. I’m sure other classes also effect lag, but I wanted to test just Wizards. We could replicate the desired outcome 100% of the time. I also have personal experience with that OH GOD 10 second game lock up on Barbs and WDs (even in solo play). I have a high specced rig, but I also tested using my wife’s older pc. Same results… It’s strait up bad coding. Hopefully this helps clear up some of the confusion for people. It’s not JUST one thing. It’s multiple. CoE is the main cause of the hellish lag. FB + Area dmg is the next… Area dmg from other classes is the latter.

I also get lag with Etched Sigil on - no CoE. Game lags when it spawns Twisters.

me too,lag as hell,took out the ad,checked low fx,disable ssao,none of those helps,but i just fixed it,someone on youtube suggested change the sound channel to 16,it works for me,ths to him again.
