Just started with Firebird after playing Tal Rasha for a long time. Fighting Vesalius (and probably other floating RGs) with the Deathwish/explosive blast version seems to pose a problem. With Vesalius there were periods of time where the blasts didn’t seem to hit and make damage at all. I will need to see if the flame blades version is better in that sense.
Is this a general issue?
Yeah, when I see Vesalius on a Tempest Rush monk on higher GR’s I just leave.
I guess there is a general problem with his hitbox.

Are you using another element version of spectral blade?
If you do then that is the main prob lem. If not and I misunderstood then I am not the one to answer.

No, the version I had problems with Vesalius was the firebird version with Deathwish that uses Explosive Blast Chain Reaction to trigger the damage while channeling disintegrate. It would seem that the explosive blasts are having a hard time hitting Vesalius because he is floating. Maybe there is a problem with other floating rift guardians too.
I also have the version with Fragment of Destiny that uses the flame blades to trigger the damage. But I haven’t tested it against Vesalius yet.
Ah ok, my bad then. I thought you had both EB and spectral blade.
