I have decent luck in finding Primal items. (At least, as good as can be expected). Especially since I’m an unskilled, casual player.

But, ever since Primal items were introduced I’ve been trying to get a decent Primal Yang’s Recurve for my Demon Hunter — with no luck at all.

Then, while running Realms and collecting Hellfire Mats for a better Amulet, one was dropped in the Realm of Fright. It didn’t have great Properties on it. I ended up rolling Monster XP for Max Discipline and used a Ramaladni’s Gift to put a Socket in it.

And then, I remembered… Oh crap! — PTR

I also ended up with a primal Yang’s after reforging it 5 times (no joke) on the PTR! It was great though because I wanted to test my GoD6/CC3 build which needs the Yang’s weapon and the 4th cube slot.

Here’s to hoping they make the 4th cube slot permanent after season 22 or at least a permanent fixture in seasons. It would be a shame to miss out on the 4th cube slot when DH finally get new toys to play with. :confused:

Hah :smiley: one patch after i found my primal yangs back then, they added 200% damage onto it.
Still have the old one around and always see it when i play ptr :frowning:

Saddest thing I ever saw in PTR chat was someone finding the Cosmic Wings and asking if the unlock would also affect live…

I’m worried I might find Cosmic Wings on the PTR, and forever be denied them on Live because of the insane odds to drop them. :grimacing: :laughing:

You think you’re unlucky with primal Yang’s Recurve bow?

Try not getting a single one nor from mobs or Kadala since primals were added to the game even on PTR EVER…

I haven’t seen a single Yang Recurve drop on both of my accounts in over 2500 hours combined from all my DHs (EU and NA on this account and EU on my 2nd one)…

I had to reforge one of my ancient ones (on my 2nd account not this one) and after 300+ tries in non season I got one that ended up being exactly like that one you posted with your screenshot… :expressionless:

The only ptr primal I have gotten is the level 70. (and it was useless)

I have done several hundred reforges, spend 10s of thousands of blood shards,
certainly with thein increased item drop i have found well more than the average 1/400 items

I’ve been trying for a primal Bul-Kathos’ Solemn Vow for my non-season SC barb for the longest time. This season, I’m pretty much done SC and decided I’d try HC just for a trial run / fun. Otherwise I never play HC. Reforging a Solemn Vow trying to get ancient, the first ancient I got was a primal (about 13 reforges). I’m not a serious HC player. I’m still trying for one off season SC.

That may be a good thing. Don’t want to rush HC or take unnecessary chances.

I mostly play wizards so all I’ve ever wanted for Christmas were Primal Deathwish and Etched Sigil. No joy. Since ES becomes useless next season I believe I am guaranteed to obtain a Primal ES next season. “if it weren’t for our bad luck, we’d have no luck at all. Gloom, despair, and agony oh me.”

Primal is over rated and not even that much better than a decent ancient.
