Finally after 10 years i fixed the stutter in game

For anyone wondering why their game stutters it is not the pc nor your internet speed
you dont need a beast pc for this game but you need a beast monitor with fast response time and gsync or freesync.
So after 10 years of trying billion of ways to fix the stutter i figured out that it was not the pc but the slow a** monitor that i had.Now with a brand new gsync monitor wih fast 1 ms response time the game runs butter smooth a fix i never considered i never thought that the monitor could be the problem so if you have stutters or microstutters in diablo 3 it is because of your slow monitor you need a new one with fast response time and gsync or freesync.I know it is not cheap fix but there is no an easy fix you just need to invest thats it.

Did you change something else besides the monitor (because that doesn’t seem like a good reason for stutter since any monitor with 8 ms and below should run the game perfectly without a stutter)?

It might not be the response time rather vsync/buffering related.

I changed nothing i had freesync monitor which was capable of gsync with nvidia gpu with 1ms response monitor time on paper but that was not true who knows how much the response time was.Now i have gsync monitor with real 1 ms response time and it is a diferent game all the stutter is gone so capable gsync monitor is not the same as gsync monitor.

Opposite experience here.

Never really had stutter issues except when I upgraded to a brand new 29" UltraWide IPS/75Hz/Freesync monitor last year.

I was using Freesync with an AMD card so it was all fine except that D3 started stuttering like mad. ‘other games were fine’
Found out that the issue was the Borderless Fullscreen mode, even tho I never had issues with it before.

Now it works just fine in Fullscreen. ‘too bad cause I prefer borderless since I
alt+tab out a lot’

Atm I have a 74 FPS global cap in my AMD driver cause my monitor has a 40-75 Freesync range. ‘its best to stay in the range if you insist on using it’

In the game I have Vsync off and just to be sure I have the ingame FPS limiter set to 75 too. ‘sometimes the game refuses to use my driver settings’.
This way the game is smooth as it was on my previous old monitor.

I also second this.
Seeing how sensitive this game can be to such settings I wouldn’t be surprised if thats the case.
