Feedback on videos

Hello there

I am not sure whether or not this breaks the rules - to post my own video here, but I see links to YouTube videos so I figure its good.

My name is Intifada (Blizzard account Furkhan) and just recently I started to record Diablo 3 gameplay and thought to myself why not post them on YouTube. I played Diablo 3 from day of release and on and off through the years. Even though the game got a bad rep I always find myself going back to it every once in awhile, because even with the bad rep its a really good game.

The reason I am posting here is that I am looking for feedback on the videos. As I’ve previously said I just started posting on YouTube and I have only one subscriber - my lovely wife.

I do not claim that I am a pro at Diablo 3, and I am a beginner when it comes to recording, editing videos and creating thumbnails so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

here are the videos:

I will be posting in the future with audio commentary as soon as I set myself up with a proper mic.

Thank you

P.S I do not know whether or not I am against ToS and rules of conduct as I have posted similarly on EU forums, and would like an explanation.

Your videos are bad and nobody cares.

That is feedback I guess :S

Yes it does, it’s called advertising/spam.

Are you sure about that? Because I am not spamming anyone. And I am at a conflict because the forums allow You tube videos to be linked and there is incentive to post content about Diablo 3.

My question is how is that different than to say “here is some gameplay I made of your game”, and my post.

i didnt see a single meme in any of those videos. work on your editing skills.

here’s how a grandmaster does it.

git gud OP.

Don’t do that. You will get a forum vacation.

Don’t post your videos. You will get reported and get suspended.

dont listen to these others, they are just unofficial hall monitors making their own rules. literal tunnel snakes tbqh.

this is diablo content discussion, keep it coming and post more when you finish it.

Yes. Advertising and promoting your streams, videos, or social media is against the forum rules. Creating a thread just to advertise, even more so.

They let us link things when it is relevant to a topic and helps explain something, but not to use the forums to promote yourself.

The Forum Code of Conduct is here

Advertising

This category includes advertisement of:

  • Any non-beneficial, non-Blizzard related businesses, organizations, or websites

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

What you are doing is promoting a non blizzard related video for your own benefit (clicks). Blizzard related would mean Blizzard authorized it.

If Blizzard wants to promote your stream/video they would put it on the launcher.

Well, you posted the exact same thing over on the EU forums 12 minutes prior to creating this thread…
https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/t/feedback-on-videos/3808

The Forum Code of Conduct also says…

Creating Duplicate Threads

This category includes:

  • Creating threads about existing topics
  • Creating a separate thread about an existing topic for further discussion in more than one forum

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

@OP cheetah is correct i mean dont you know anything unless your asmongold etc you cant bend the rules and get away with it only “professional” streamers get that privilege

They don’t either. They can’t come here and make a thread promoting their videos. Sometimes streamer fanboys go to forums and try to do it for them, but Blizz tends to remove those too.

If Blizz wants to promote and advertise a streamer, it will be on their launcher or news blog. They normally have streamer promotions for season starts, game releases, etc. They give interviews to some for game announcements too, which is sort of a promotion or at least some sort of collaboration.

Now, if someone says “hey are there any good guides on X” and someone suggests a few streams and websites, that is fine. That is not someone advertising their stuff.

We used to have a “community creations” page that Blizz directed anyone to put streams, fan art, etc on. I don’t think that exists in this version of the forums.

We still have the “Community List” where we post music videos of songs we like.

To be fair that page should likely be stickied, so it won’t keep disappearing down into nothing land
