I’m curious as to why this isn’t in any of the builds. I haven’t tried it myself I am guessing mirror image’s primary skills don’t benefit from it. Can anyone confirm?
As I understand, MIs don’t benefit from anything that comes from your equipment, and legendary gems fall into that category. The only exception is when item / gem specifically targets pets, such as Tasker & Theo / Enforcer gem.
Besides, you can only have up to 3 LG slots, and they are all pretty valuable.
The only thing I can think of is the SS’s lvl 25 affix. Would Images heal you every time they hit with a primary skill? After all, their crits do trigger your APoC… That would be one hell of a toughness boost.

The main damage source of a typical firebird build is ignite-combust combo, and the skills that trigger it does very insignificant damage in comparison, especially coming from Mirror Images.
Simplicity’s Strength doesn’t affect ignite-combust damage at all, therefore it’s not useful.

Because, as the others already say, your whole Damage comes frome the FB-Set itself.
Also. SS works only on yourself, not your Pets.
The DMG of the MI is completly irrelevant. If they do 1 DMG or 3 Mio, makes no differance.
You only use them, coz you have 4 Units, wich cast the Flame Blades. An AoE Spell, wich hits 3 Times per Use, all Enemys in an Area.
And therefore they Proc the Set way more often, as you could do it “manuelly” if you would cast Firespells on your own.
