Faded, poorly visible item labels

Hi!

Was thinking about getting complete D3 edition, but it appears that my Starter Edition is somehow bugged and not displaying drop item labels correctly. Material and gold labels are clearly visible, but items are faded. I am afraid this condition will carry over to complete game.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Hi,

It does make it hard to see/read the labels, doesn’t it. Here’s a screenshot from my Starter Edition account :

I’m afraid there’s no way to “fix” that… I suspect the shading is some sort of an indication that you are playing Starter Edition. It may also indicate that you cannot trade these.

It doesn’t… Here’s another screenshot… this time, from my main account :

Hopefully, this helps alleviates some of your fears.

Also, if items have been on the ground for a while, I believe they fade out.
The default keybind for highlighting loot on the ground again is Alt.

yeah… that’s what I was thinking also originally… so I fired my Starter Edition account and checked… those screenshots above are right after hitting the Alt.

I think this might be a new feature… I don’t recall labels being that hard to read on Starter Edition.

I found this thread because I’m experiencing the same thing on a new account but I bought the full version. I suspect this is done on new accounts to foil botters. Would be great if Blizzard could confirm this is by design and not a bug.

EDIT: This has resolved itself after waiting a few hours.
