Extreme Lag, Game became Unplayable

I’ve been playing diablo 3 for the last two weeks, to complete the season 21 objectives, but today I started experiencing an ABSURD amount of lag, talking about constant 5000 ping and more than 30 disconnects per hour.
My internet connection is really good, for any game or app (I got 100MB)
My fps is always more than 200 and the performance is great, game loads in half a second.
The only problem is connection to diablo servers, I basically can’t play anymore
Can anyone help?

How was your experience for the 2 weeks prior to today?

It was completely fine, it just started to lag like this today, I don’t know the reason tho.

Capetoso,

If it came out of nowhere, it may be an internet issue between your house and our Diablo III servers. The easiest way to find out is to run a test. If you’re still having this problem, please create a WinMTR test which catches a disconnection. You want to restart the test every 10-15 minutes until you catch one of these problems. Once you’ve caught one red handed, run the test for about 5 more minutes. This will let us look for problems between your house and our servers which may cause this.

If you have problems with posting it due to a link error, go ahead and copy paste this into your next post, and replace “WinMTR goes here” with your test.

Capetoso,

Okay, more than half of that test is masked by the ISP unfortunately. We can’t be sure where the problems start, but we can figure out if the problems I see are real or not. The easiest way to do that is to to run a VPN and see if it works around things. We can’t support setup of VPNs directly since we don’t work with anybody, but try out a few with free trials and see if the lag goes away or improves on a VPN. If it does, it’s probably an ISP issue, likely starting here:

Your test starts having some packet loss as it travels through Sao Paulo. Often when I see this, it’s the result of sudden lag. Usually this happens when the internet at that location is getting overloaded, so it would need to be reported to your ISP.
