Blizzard has pledged to stand with Ukraine in their right to have freedom

[Activision-Blizzard Ceases All Sales And Transactions In Russia, Raises Funds To Aid Ukraine - MMOs.com](https://mmos.com/news/activision-blizzard-ceases-all-sales-and-transactions-in-russia-raises-funds-to-aid-ukraine#:~:text=Activision%20Blizzard%20joins%20other%20video%20game%20companies%20in,aid%20of%20those%20affected%20by%20the%20ongoing%20conflict.)

but lets not forget Blitzchung wanting freedom for Hong Kong so why hasnt Blizzard cut off all sales in China? are they saying Hong Kongs right to be free isnt as big a priority to them?

i guess unless the people of HK take to the streets and fight back against the chinese military Blizzard isnt going to support their rights to freedom huh?

that seems to be the message theyre sending since they denounce one government for their kind of control but they choose to pander to another when they have a simliar kind of history regarding rights and treatment of its people

Hong Kong should have the right to self govern as well but you dont see Blizzard cutting ties to show support for them like they do for Ukraine

It’s so deceptive and weird. Like where is Blizzards support for the women in Afghanistan after the Taliban took over? Is it not profitable to help them anymore?

Wonder who’s side Blizzard will take when Taiwan is attacked. Wait, does Blizzard even recognize Taiwan as a country?

Is Blitzchung free today? Did he ever get his winnings?

im fine with it. blizzard obviously has to support china, or risk losing the right to do any kind of business in china.

however, russia doesnt have that kind of hold, so, blizzard is free to condemn russia.

well Blizzard insisted on not wanting to take sides in any political issues but yet they were quick to denounce Russia for their actions but not willing to side with Blitz

honestly does Taiwan not matter? they also want freedom

so much for all voices matter

only some voices matter. been like that the entire time.

i’m not. Blizzard is a game company and should make games and let their employees be free to support what they want individually and let us as well. Just make games. You can’t even get that right anymore, how about just focus on that.

And remember, if you use the wrong word, F1 isn’t catching it.

Blizz is a gaming company in the business of making money. Therefore it would be good (for them and for all of us) if it stayed outside of politics.

well they proved they are allowing politics to sway them otherwise they wouldve pulled out of China the same way they did Russia as a refusal to continue to provide gaming service in support of people wanting freedom

after all doesnt Hong Kong have the same right to want to be free same as Ukraine why isnt Blizzard standing up for them?

There are good wars and there are bad wars.
When the West needs raw materials or political influence somewhere, it frames a little and swings the propaganda club. This makes it clear to the people who is a friend and who is an enemy.
Then one goes and calls these wars peace missions or democracy defense etc. and helps itself at the country, coups the government and makes a business with armament stuff and drives the refugee waves.

If a country like Russia, however, does not want to be converted further and considers its neighboring country, in which war has been going on since 2014, as a threat and goes in there also to protect itself, then this is against the interests of the Western power sect and it is an evil war. The propaganda mace is pulled out and it is made clear to everyone who the bad guy is and that we must now do everything to support the alleged freedom of the attacked country. Sanctions that affect more the own population do not matter, the arms companies make big profits, you can use fear and terror and immediately link any other political goals or idiologies to it and take a lot of money from the people.
Besides, the threat situation in terms of nuclear weapons increases and a continent like Europe is strategically weakened.
New alliances are forged and old agreements are broken.

No matter how it turns out, the people suffer, the ivory tower makes profits and tries to increase or maintain power and influence.

No matter what it is about in Taiwan, it is not about the people and freedom, it is about power, influence, raw materials … The rest is just pretended to give us the people a history book entry with some half-truth.

The reason why we stumble again and again into these problems is the system basis itself and the existing power, and property relations, as well as the structure of the system itself, which has built in the error and thus the decay. So it comes periodically again and again to the financial crisis and with it then as a consequence to the system crisis which does not exist currently at all… it is made and is the consequence of the financial crisis.
If we would not receive again and again this system structure, so that few people would keep the power and would act up as world leaders, mankind would grow over democratic processes and networking to a cooperation and would find a freidlchen way of living together, would distribute the values and would go a completely different way, but this would stop the current power pyramid and is fought therefore constantly.
But with these power relations, we plunge again and again into wars and crises, many of them purely homemade, because the power sect needs this to maintain power.

Propaganda, our dependence and thus submissiveness and vertical hierarchies then do the rest.

Virtual Signal
or/and
Mark their door with goat blood.

Many companies just pander to what “currently popular” (By that I mean Twitter), just to avioding offending the usual suspects, within their company or twitter.

As long as their bottom line is not affected.

Research has shown, people into “Activism” & such are positive towards companies that “virtue signal”, & people indifferent or not align with these “activisims” doesn’t have big negative view towards them. They may “roll their eyes” or complain its “W” but still partonise them.

This explain why many modern commerials promoting how they are saving the planet or support (insert group) instead of promoting their products. its net positive for them.

You risk the ban for telling the truth.

truth is often open to interpretation based on who uses it but facts are undisputable after all at one time the earth being flat was widely accepted as truth until facts were proven it was not

Such a convoluted, verbose, rambling of the bleedin’ obvious, guv. But you showed your petticoat when your second sentence started with “When the West…” Not just the West mate, ANY power including the Romans, Mongols, Visigoths, Communists, Imperial Japan or Sioux Nation uses the propaganda mace. All you’ve shown in your essay is that you have a selective yet tenuous grasp of human history but not a clue to the human nature behind it, much like Marx and Lenin. Lots of criticism of “the system,” and “the few in power” without understanding that those are self-renewing and have been since man crawled out of his caves. After every revolution by “the people” there has always been a power sect to take over because in their righteous fever, the people fail to grasp that it’s easier to destroy a railroad than it is to run one. This is why nearly every effort by the people to change the status quo either fails or results in an even worse system.

No there really aren’t. Imposing a form of government on people who don’t want it is ultimately not worth the long term cost no matter who does it. The days of the conquest epic are over.

Apples to oranges and completely disingenuous. Blitzchung violated terms he and all participants agreed upon about not using the event as a platform. Not to mention, no matter how crappy it may be, HK is part of China. He also had his ban reduced and was given his winnings.

Russia invaded a sovereign nation with the intent of genocide. Ukraine has been it’s own nation for hundreds of years, HK was given away temporarily and was never autonomous.

Honestly, this kind of corporate posturing is just annoying. I argued during the Blitzcheung BS that Blizzard was fine for disqualifying the guy because they are a commercial business, not a government entity, and we didn’t need politics tainting gaming.

Now it seems Blizzard is actively trying to make me look stupid on a personal level. Like, wtf?

I guess people were right when they said that Blizzard really was just caving to the CCP because they didn’t want to lose out on the Chinese market; as evidenced by the fact that they clearly don’t care about the Russian market.
