have error code 395002 will not load hero list help
On the launcher it was mentioned there is a maintenance ongoing. That might have interfered with loading your characters.

Had the same error today as well. To fix it, I created a new seasonal character and was able to start the game on the new character and all the others as well. Hope it helps
I think you might have had a different problem.

Putting in the e-mail and password and clicking on Connect / Login repeats the cycle… there is no way to connect to Diablo III or play a game.
I was getting the error code so it may be different but similar. Another thing I noticed is it only happened when I switched regions from NA to SA. NA was working but SA wouldn’t let me create a game with any seasonal characters.
It happened on another account and even just deleting an NS character also fixed it so it seems that if you update the hero list, that might be enough.
I’d suggest having him go on NA server and either create or delete a character then try and see if that fixes it for the EU hero list as well. Let me know if it works, good luck.

Yes, the issue you faced might have been similar… but the solution will be quite different for the player I’m trying to help… with no success so far. What you were able to do won’t work for him.
Although NA and SA are two differnet servers, they are in the same pool. And what you do on NA is reflected on the SA server (and the one in Australia too ). Things are different for the Europe region because there is only one server pool… so there is no other pool that players can connect to. Playing on the America region (NA, SA or Australia server pool) has no effect on the heroes in the Europe region… the various regions are independent of each other.

I wasn’t aware of the server pools vs EU region’s setup. That’s unfortunate this probably won’t fix it then if there’s no other way he can log in to update his hero list. If he can manage to switch regions to update his hero list it might fix it but he would need to get past the login screen one way or another to even attempt it.
Sorry it didn’t help for EU region, hopefully support can manually fix it for him.
They did… finally. The 2nd ticket on the issue landed on the desk of a Game Master who couldn’t fix the issue but was willing to go the extra mile to help – he escalated the issue for a thorough investigation and someone somewhere in Blizzard fixed the issue. The player is now able to connect to his account on Europe as of this morning.
I have the same problem, but with the America server, I have not been able to play this server since the last maintenance (still can see the hero list on the web us.diablo3.blizzard.com/ ). Meanwhile, the EU server lost all characters but can still create new characters and play (all as if just logged in the game for the first time); the Asia server everything is normal. I tried many ways according to the instructions but still cannot play the America server.

Have you tried to play on another server pool (Australia, South America or US) ? You need to use additional command line arguments… see this post for details… the post is 4 years old and the menu system on the Battle.Net Desktop App has changed, but the option to add command line arguments is still there.
For Europe… I don’t know why you would lose all your heroes ?? You can undelete the last hero that was deleted. Are you the only one with access to your account ?

I tried the way you instructed but still can’t load the hero list when logging in with the America server. This account is only mine to play. And the EU server is like entering the game for the first time (including the appearance of the instructions, creating a character for the first time…). I also sent a support request but haven’t received any response yet.
