Enchantress is gutted

It’s so disappointing that they removed all her cc (except the terrible charm for some reason). Mass control and disorient were some of the biggest impact a follower could have. Now they all have pretty crappy CC. I know that they’re better than they were now you can slap nems and flavor of time on them, but I just feel it delegates them to the role of pack mules and unity holders, and kills their individuality as well. If you look through the follower skills… A lot of them are very similar to one another. Overall, there are some good things about the follower rework but I think they unnecessarily reworked a lot of skills for the enchantress

They do seem a bit bland.

Sadly this is going to be what I miss most about the enchantress. She was good for CC, and it helped save me quite often. I suspect though, that with the availability of all item slots, retaining the original CC combined with the CC enhanced legendary affixes might have proven somewhat OP, or even detrimental when trying to fight high HP elites/RGs due to the CC cap increamenting every time CC is applied within a certain time frame (which you can’t control with the follower).

When your remotely paying attention to your follower skills your playing wrong
Sure they give you occulas and unity of U have it. And new enimate gives U flavour and nems bit there overall bland and have never contribute dps wise. So focusing a build or any survive over there CC is laughable

You’re.
They have got grouping, placement, blocking and cc procing abilities that you can utilize while playing around them.
I max out my follower (enchantress) on necro for max attack speed rolls, hard cc from wydward and thunderfury, use them to help proc krysbins during an ess of johan pool.
If you play just having them as a unity or occy support and don’t know how to maximize their potential, you sir are playing it wrong.

CC hurts pushing though. Some soft CC is fine but hard CC ruins more than it does Good.

I do agree there but there are ways of getting around it, the DR cc timer is a pain if you manage to lock up a rift guardian too many times, again just dismiss her if she’s too much at times

I just dont use cc on follower. Its easier to just cc yourself

there are just TOO MANY builds where follower CC is crippling your damage. if you play multishot DH then it does not really matter, but ever wondered why e.g. your cesar’s memento, bracers of fury or krysbin don’t work?

I had the same thoughts. The Enchantress and the Scoundrel seem like two faces of the same medal now, whereas the Templar got a bit better at healing - doesn’t sound overly exciting.

However the previous skillset has been around for 9 years since launch. It had been developed for the original Diablo III, which was a very, very different game, and not touched since. It seems the devs are now confident the game won’t change much anymore, and are finally adapting the followers for RoS endgame. Of course the purpose of this new design is necessarily very different.

I’ll hold my judgement until I’ve thoroughly tested them out. To be frank their impact on the game was rather negligible most of the time anyway. It seems that the new emanate feature alone is their single greatest asset now and will easily outweigh whatever they themselves bring to the table.

Id prefer MASS CHICKEN over charm any day. That mass chicken saves me alot early season clicking pylons with nems as she normally chickens them all. Plus chickens is the coolest follower ability!

So for those saying the follower repeatedly “saved you” via CC, not notice the actual cheat death all three now have?

For pushes Enchantress has a giant advantage over the other two, she can equip The Executioner. RG fight is now ~10% shorter.

hi…

relying on the enchantress for “cc” is a horrible crutch and one that most endgame players find a negative more than a positive. when speaking on follower vs follower advantages, “cc” could be used as an argument, but even then, crowd control limitations and resistance from diminishing returns make enchantress cc skills completely mess up or devalue many builds that have cc as part of that build.

hex and charm do not effect bosses.

personally, i am glad that the cc for enchantress is being worked out of her skill set. they were never needed for endgame, never needed for speeds, and have a very limited play need for anything beyond leveling. her new cd reduction and cheat death alone are FAR more worth any crowd control offerings she had available from the past iteration, and the only reason why she is valued from s23 onward.

all the best.
