I have been playing with the Broken Crown on my helper with a topaz installed, I thought I wasn’t getting enough, but I just played thru and got over 20 gems of others and NOT 1 TOPAZ. Obviously gems were dropping without the effect of the crown.
‘Emanate’ basically means it applies to you. It will not drop from your follower’s helm gem, but yours. If it didn’t Emanate, it probably would’ve dropped from follower’s helm.

This case again.
Please read the stickied thread about things which are not bugs before posting a new thread. The Broken Crown is working correctly as stated. When something emanates from the follower, it means it’s applied to your character and functions from your character. As such in the case of Broken Crown you get the extra gems based on what you have socketed into your helm.
