I feel there could easily be more options that could be implemented with the emanate feature.
Apart from adding a few more Legendaries to the mix, the option of perhaps a couple of set choices (obviously that are more QOL than OP), could also be looked at.
For one, I would add Illusory Boots to the mix, I feel that is on par with some other items that have been used and certainly not buffing power.
Elemental amulets such as Mara’s and the like.
Maybe… although not likely, RORG, one can dream
Warzechian armguards, Puldrons of the Skeleton King, Prides fall…
Many would not add too much benefit and would give life to so many more items.
And when I was referring to sets, I was thinking more like Sages, Guardians even the 2 piece belt bracer set… Kremlins or whatever it’s called.
Hell… I’d even pay if I could Equip my Enchantress with the paddle and she can just randomly walk up to my Barb and slap him!
Over time, I am sure more items will be added to the list.
I believe future Seasons will include more Emanate Items as themes. Now if they can do something with THIS season, it would be great.
Make follower XP share 100% and all XP from gearon follower not reduced at level 70 so solo players have XP boost and it would reduce gap between group XP meta

Honestly this wouldn’t be a terrible idea. Even with 100% XP share and without level 70 penalties solo players couldn’t match the rate which the 4-player XP farming meta gains XP. It would however reduce the gap.
As for actual emanate options this thread was about, I wouldn’t add anything that directly adds any power or mitigation so that’s a solid “no” for immunity amulets for example. Personally I even would’ve left Flavor of Time out of the emanate list too since it indirectly adds power and mitigation and it also outshines any other amulet option but for now let it slide considering how hideously difficult it is to get rolled correctly.

My big question is, why are they limiting the damage a follower does to such a low amount? I understand that with the immortal token they can’t be as strong as a player character, but still, their damage is so low at higher GR levels that their only usefulness is the emanate skills.
I would rather see the followers do specific things, sort of like Everquest, where the Templar is a tank, and the Enchantress is a healer, and the Scoundrel is DPS. Then you can pick what you need. And if you group with one other person, both should be able to bring followers, as that still limits the team to 4.
Anyway, the changes are a step in the right direction and I hope they do use this as a starting point. We will see.

Well as i stated many times before, it’s because of how the Ashera set works right now. Grups can summon all 3 follower at once, thus giveing followers significant dmg, groups will have an even bigger advantage. And i have already come up whit a solution, that if Ashera was a follower only set, only solo players could use followers for real, and time to time, all of them are present when in combat. This could further narrow the gap betwen solo and group play. Only after this change would be fair to give them real dmg.

100% companion XP bonus share would be nice.
With Hellfire Ring, Leoric’s signet, Leoric’s crown set with ruby and 3 pieces born’s defiance, a char get a 4.5% max XP bonus.
Knowing that we have to get rid of useful stuff to get this small XP boost, removing the 0.2 multiplicator would be great
I agree that it can be expanded, but I’m glad to see that they have more value than simply placing a “cannot die” trinket and Unity on them and then using the rest of their gear as materials for crafting.
After 9 years I think they did a very good job with the follower revamp. Now they can add to it and make it even better. Increase the damage and add more items. How about letting the followers use any of the legendary gems or create a few follower gems. A few more skill options would also be great, bump it up to 6.

I would love to see a follower only gem that increases their damage so it scales with the player. Nothing is sadder than seeing the Templar hopelessly flailing away at a monster on T6 and having the monster walk right by him as if nothing happened.

Honestly, open the floodgates. Let (nearly) every non-class, non-set item emanate. Just restrict certain items, like CoE, Aquila, Stone Gauntlets, RRoG, and Furnace - the usual suspects.
Edit: In Geom, too, would be problematic. Just restrict the powerful legendary powers that will break things. Tasker and Theo is iffy, but I think it might be OK.
I think that you are right, it opens a door to different possibilities, mainly solo of course but from my perspective that is not a bad thing.
I wasn’t even thinking of Leg gems or anything like that, but the possibilities are certainly there and they wouldn’t be massive game changers either.
Maybe with Legendary gems, the follower can’t have 3, but has a slot for a belt buckle of sorts where a Legendary Gem can be attached.
Perhaps redesign the tokens/relics so that they are a socketed belt buckle? (or something similar)
I’d just be satisfied if they gave the Asheara’s crafted set the Emanate feature like Cain’s and Sage’s.
I’d love to be able to craft follower-specific armor/weapons/relics. I’m playing a wiz right now and I’d like to not have to go over to my barb or sader to make stuff for Kormac…and vice versa (have to get on the wiz to make gear for my barb’s Eirena).
Or even use a Cube-like interface to choose custom Emanate abilities.

I would not be surprised if they do something about this soon.
I’d like that too, after they made it to a follower exclusive set.
