So, I generally would want a weapon that combines with my skill sets elemental damage output right?

For example if i use fire on a crusader, I want my main weapon to have fire dmg and stack as much fire dmg as possible?

If i use physical on a barb i want a physical weapon and so on?

The element of the damage roll on your weapon is irrelevant unless you’re using Elemental Exposure on a wizard.
