The new Echoing Fury is awesome, but the 3 sec duration on the buff is so short that it makes it extremely difficult to keep up on a melee build between mobs, or on any build that gradually damages crowds instead of bursting down a few at a time (multishot or whirlwind vs. impale or invoker).
The new power would work much better as a 10 second duration, or keep the 3 seconds and have it proc on hit vs. kill.
Thanks!

Having it proc on hit with 3 sec duration would be fair I guess. It would work on single mob as well then.
Otherwise, in high grs, this item would be useless.

Not sure why they didn’t keep the 5 second duration the skill itself uses.
A few questions, though:
- Does it work like the Frenzy skill on kill instead of on hit?
- Does it stack up to 5 times like the Frenzy skill does?
- Is there a visual indicator when it’s active if you don’t have the Frenzy skill selected?
- Is it me or does Whirlwind skill consume more Fury when Echoing Fury is used in Kanai’s Cube?
IMO this item is useless in GR pushing at end-game. I think their intention for Echoing Fury is yo improve farming (leveling and materiales)
To be honest It Would be good if the Buff of Echoing Fury was near permanent in some way, i tired of playing Ishtvan’s or Furnace for end game pushing in some builds.
This has amazing potential IF it was on hit.
The problem if you make this on hit, Will make probably mandatory for many builds, but i agree with you, i need to see different things.
Right now this item help more botters than normal users
With some more testing and watching others test, it’s pretty obvious that this is a dead item for all but speed farming low gr’s. On kill proc is rough on high GR for trash and all but useless on rift guardians.
Great item idea though with some tweaks.
Really needs to be an on-hit proc. Can keep the short 3 sec duration that way and force your player to stay engaged and attacking rather than cheesing passive damage sources like pets/turrets ect. Keeps the theme of relentless attacking intact and gives Barbs another option aside from the ubiquitous istvan set.
I tried this item instead of Roland’s 6-piece bonus, it wasn’t usable in push. I couldn’t kill the trash fast enough.
I don’t understand the reasoning behind these on-kill items (Echoing Fury and Messerschmidt’s Reaver) did we have a shortage of speed farming options? If anything build diversity shines in that department.
The pain point is limited push options, these two items should be modified somehow:
Echoing Fury
Hitting an enemy increases your attack speed by 10% and movement speed by 5% for 5 seconds.
Messerschmidt’s Reaver
Reduce the remaining cooldown of one of your skills by 1 second every second.
These are really just substitutes for The Furnace.
Ah, that explains it. Thanks for the answers.
