Duplicate Pet (Season 20)?

So this season there are goblins that appear in pairs. I was lucky enough to find myself a pair of menagerist goblins but ended up getting two of exactly the same pet. Now I know they’re usually supposed to drop pets that I don’t have yet but I killed both before I could pick up the loot and learn it.

Now I have an additional Haunting Hannah taking up a slot in my inventory that I can’t learn, discard, salvage or transmute. Should I have received a different pet, and how do I get rid of my duplicate copy? Can it somehow be changed to a random pet I don’t have yet?

Wait for the season to be over. All items go to messages. Don’t claim the pet and he will disappears after 30 days :slight_smile:

Mail UI has a “Trash Bin” button to delete items, not need to wait 30 days. :slight_smile:

If the pet item can’t be sold, you may create a dummy hero (if you have a spare slot), move the item to this dummy. Then delete this dummy.

We had this same issue in Patch 2.6.1, Season 14, Season of Greed. It was determined that killing both Menagerist Goblins could possibly drop a duplicate Pet for any Pet you did not already have. If you still do not have Pets that that can drop from a Menagerist Goblin, kill one and quickly pick it up, open your Inventory and right-click it to add it to your Collection. Then, kill the second one to get a different Pet. Of course, if the one you just added was your last one, the second Goblin will just drop normal loot.

If you have all of those, you have all the ones that drop from the Menagerist Goblin.

And here is a video I made in Season 14 trying to show all the things you can and cannot do with the Pets dropped by Menagerist Goblins. (Fortunately for me, 2 different Pets dropped. But, unfortunate for the video because I would have liked to include the part about creating a temporary Character to hold the duplicate Pet while I deleted the Character).
