I should point out, that it was a suggestion. And there was someone that stated they had already done this, but there was no change in the issue, so while the idea was a valid suggestion, it may have no effect.
I have no way to duplicate this, since I’m not having this problem. But I also have a few other systems to try it on, and will do some testing this afternoon.
Just for giggles I upgraded the game on my old gaming rig (Windows 7, 2nd gen i7, 32GB DDR3 Asus 980 Strix with a SATA based SSD) to see if it would run okay there. It updated, ran just fine.

I guess it still works on older Windows 7 platforms.
