Double Bounties would have been better then double goblins. I am just saying…
Double bounties is worthless. Who’s still farming this late in the season?

…which is hilarious. The last couple of times we’ve had double goblins as a buff, the fact that the miscreant wasn’t doubled was reported (and accepted) as a bug. Apparently it’s a lot easier to describe the behaviour as “intended” rather than fixing the bug.

Umm… no. It was clarified by Nev long ago that this was intended. The past few times they have had the clarification in the announcement - I think.
Why not double bounties and double gobs? 
Maybe for the same reason you don’t get your favorite desert every night? Variety is not a bad thing.
If you are not getting your favorite desert, you are getting robbed.
Nah. I feel like the mom who makes desert, the kids whine they don’t get X. Then mom just takes desert away. If you are going to complain nobody gets anything. Nobody is entitled to their favorite every night.
Be thankful I can’t do that in Blizz games 
At this point, double exp is the best because most S22 players were already completed their gear.
From what I recall (this was back on the old forums) the explanation Nevalistis gave was that these goblins weren’t doubled because they weren’t already on the map, they spawn in from a portal. When we asked why they didn’t just generate two portals, with one goblin spawning from each portal, then we got the “working as intended” response.
Yes, that sounds about right. They spawn differently so they are not part of the buff.
COULD they change that? I mean…maybe? I suspect they decided the time investment was not worth it.
I advocated for this as well, but to no avail. Maybe next time.
Wouldn’t just meant more botters running bounties , I doubt it would of really changed anything else

But is there any point to hunt loot when your character is fully equipped with decent ancient gear? Nope.
Primal is supposed to be the next tier that the players with decent ancient gear should hunt but most players don’t bother because it is just a perfect ancient with little power boost.
Double Bounty and Double Goblin will be only good buff when Primal is actually something worth farming.
If they made Primal a Perfect Ancient item with an extra 30% power boost, I will log in to the game now and hunt down every single goblin to extinction and run the bounties until the season ends. ![]()
Current Primal state? Nope. A mere double goblin buff is not going to get me login the game.

It would’ve been a hideously idiotic decision. Unnecessary power creep and it would’ve also completely invalidated all other tiers. Why do you think Blizzard shelved the concept of Mythic items in D4? So that it would not make every other item tier pointless.
Primals should not even exist.
Nonsense. Primal being an ultimate gear is the best thing that the game should get. If Primal is powerful as Primal v1.0, I will be farming for them instead of stop playing after I reached P1500 in this season.
Also, you should stop quoting my post every time I am talking Primal. At this point, you should know I don’t care about your quest of policing power creep. My stance toward primal being ultimate gear will not change no matter how many times you tell me.
Also, don’t speak about Mythic fate in D4 as it is a fact. Unless you are a prophet, you never know that D4 developers might bring back Mythic or whatever tier if there are enough demands from the community in the future.
There’s always the possibility that they didn’t want to change it because as of T1 or later, the goblins that spawn from portals are guaranteed sources of legendary/set items and didn’t want to introduce a doubling of that tier of loot. At high torment, those goblins can drop multiple legendary or set items each, and doubled, well, doubles that possibility. At the time it was probably considered a negative since in RoS legendaries are already fairly populous amongst the loot we get and the devs didn’t want to further exacerbate an already lopsided reward schedule.
This would seem the most logical explanation, especially since the other goblins are not guaranteed sources of legendary and set items in any difficulty level. It would have been fairly trivial to have a portal event spawn two goblins. That’s just a number change from one to two.
You don’t know how it works. Maybe the way these goblin spawns cannot be changed without a client update, unlike the other goblins.
