Does XBOX Series S play at 1440p for diablo 3

Hello, does anyone know if diablo 3 plays at 1440p for diablo 3 on Xbox Series S

Or if not does it play 1080p 120FPS?

Creating Duplicate Threads

This category includes:

  • Creating threads about existing topics
  • Creating a separate thread about an existing topic for further discussion in more than one forum

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Irrelevant. There are several on this forum who break the very few non-ambiguous sections of the code of conduct regularly, therefore, it’s a meaningless entity

In this case, it’s not irrelevant.

Tbone posted on the good section the first time (1 hour before this one)

It’s not necessary to post another later, in another forum.

So yes, some threads need more time to get replies.
Some topics will never get an answer.

  1. He posted it in the console section, which if you’ve been keeping up with recent posts, it’s been discussed already (twice) this week alone that people generally gravitate towards the general discussion vs the sub forums. He posted his first 20 hours ago and noticed that in 9 hours, nobody responded, so he posted here. That’s not atypical or unreasonable, especially considering someone here can post a thread that’s as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle and get 4 responses in that time frame.

  2. It’s irrelevant because linking the notoriously vague/convoluted/ambiguous code of conduct that very few (if any) posters here even follow AND that does not get enforced consistently, fairly, or evenly is like going around telling people “Don’t do bad things”. You’re just being “that guy”.

@Tbone, Diablo 3 never got a dedicated next gen update. The game will play at 4K 60fps on Series S and Series X with a dynamic resolution which will vary more on the Series S than X.

This is mainly to prevent forums from having duplicate topics (the really same topic).

If I have a question about WD, I post in the correct section and if I don’t have an answer, too bad, but I won’t recreate another topic.

Or just edit the section if needed.

But hey, you gave Tbone an answer, that’s the main thing

It’s one thing to have the exact same topic in the exact same sub section. If he had made a thread here in general asking… then made another very shortly after. Then again, what is “very shortly”? Even the :poop: code of conduct just says “duplicate”. So if I dig up and find the same thread a year ago, is that a duplicate?

Seriously, the things some of you guys complain and rag on people about is asinine. It’s no wonder people on reddit and other forums warn people not to come here. It’s not like it was one of the typical troll threads from the 3 usual stooges. It was just someone asking for help.

If you read my other post you’d easily see that No one replied so I don’t see the issue with posting here. But if you’re so upset that someone broke a rule I’d like to suggest that you verify every post you’ve ever posted on every website you’ve ever attended as well as verifying every code of conduct you’ve agreed to and making sure that you never once broke a rule in your life before you berate someone else.

That being said. If I am to be banned then so be it. Thanks for answering my question!

I play on series X and PC, just not sure how to tell what the resolution is on the xbox.

If you play on Series X, you’re getting full 4K. A test was done by Digital Foundry on the Xbox One X and it was native 4K but scales based on load to keep the frame rate consistent and the One X did a very good job of being consistent. Given the power increase to the Series X, the resolution is likely to remain higher even in heavy stress areas.

It’s not against you.

You have chosen the correct forum for the first thread.

It seems you got some answers from console players, so…

That’s the thing, it may have been “technically” correct but here we are, still not a single response in the other thread. It took him posting it in the general discussion to get a response which is not atypical, unrealistic, or unusual to do since almost everyone gravitates to this section. When most anyone goes to a forum, the first place they click is the general section because it’s so much higher in traffic… meaning threads will get the greatest chance of visualization and responses.

Not totally related but Did you know for Diablo 2 resurrected, unless you have a PC version purchased you’re not even allowed to post in General Discussion. So console players can hardly get answers for D2R in comparison to PC players. You can only post in the console discussion sub forum if you own console version of the game but PC can post in PC discussion or General Discussion

That used to be true for D3 as well, that’s not the case anymore?

Someone mentioned this for Diablo 4 as well. I’m not sure why anyone thought that was a good idea. D2R is already a more niche game and restricting people to the console-only section is asinine. I get the idea of them but as someone who has been on message forums for 35 years, it’s natural for everyone to gravitate towards the general.

I thought I read somewhere that it’s to deter trolls but it’s not like this is the WoW forum or Pokemon forum that has millions a day in traffic, trolls can more easily be controlled if they really wanted to, especially considering the proof of purchase is clearly not an effective method.

Sure, and requiring proof of purchase to post is a splendid step in that direction.
