Seems to be some strange faulty logic happening. The bonus of DMO states that enemies that are the target of magic missile will cast a slow time, unless they’re standing inside on already. Yet consistently wearing all the items in the topic, I have been able to replicate scenarios where an enemy is not standing in one, and the slow time is not cast on their location.
They changed it so it is when a spell hits them. However, it is being buggy right now. I have seen it hit an enemy with MM dozens of times and not proc.
At first I thought it was a bug with one shotting enemies, but then I saw it do the same to an elite. I am now wondering if it is related to the “original” projectile hitting them first. If it does not, it does not proc. I doubt that though as I have seen multiple bubbles pop up on opposite sides of the screen at the same time.
As a note, it is not the rune that is causing the problem. Conflagrate, Glacial Spike, and Charged Blast all have the same problem.
It is definitely a bug.
Best way I’ve found to get around it is to hit them with another spell that would proc it. I see the same behavior if I just keep hitting the enemy with frozen orbs, too. I’ve been swapping between the two, enjoying both styles.
i am having that issue along with…dealing little to no damage to minions and either die and come back or have to go off screen then come back and then its like normal or 1-2 shot kill them…
not being able to telly to a spot then get killed because of that and then go back to that exact spot and can telly just fine …and thats just a few of the many bugs im dealing with

I wonder if it’s related to the extra missiles from Mirrorball or the sanctified power?
Maybe one or both types of extra missiles is not triggering the DMO 2p, it could be only the primary missile does?
Does this happen when using just the base ability without the Mirrorball and the sanctified power? Does it only happen when using one or both of those powers?
EDIT: Just tested with Mirrorball and all three missiles from Mirrorball seem to be able to trigger DMO 2p. Haven’t tried it with the sanctified power yet.
EDIT2: Burned a few crucibles so I could try it with the sanctified power and the extra missiles from the sanctified power also are triggering bubbles.
Those are the only ideas I had. Sounds like a weird bug.
Could be. I didn’t have this problem on my non-season wizard.
I am getting the impression more and more it is a hitbox issue.
It most commonly happens when an enemy is in a doorway or right next to another bubble. I caught it in a video that shows it within 30 seconds of it starting. You can see the a group of enemies not proc’ing it and one moves slightly further away and sudden a bubble pops up and they die.

I did not get any other clear cases of the bug, but that one case shows it clearly.
Yes!! That’s a perfect example of it happening. Something is clearly faulty, hopefully they can find and address it.
Ugh. It’s December and this is still not fixed.
I’ve seen in other places (reddit I think?) where players are blaming it on not mousing over the enemy, but it clearly procs even if your pointer is nowhere near any enemy and it also clearly fails to proc when your pointer is directly on top of an enemy.
My original thought was that it might have to do with hitting a monster with a ricochet from the Seeker rune that comes from the sanctified power, but that’s harder to notice when you are in the middle of playing.
