Difficulty if capped at 60

So im playing the original version of this game and unfortunately im capped at lvl 60…but ive been playing the game like this anyway which pretty much restricts me to campaign mode…

im wondering what happens with torments at level 60…does the difficulty still scale to my level or do i NEED to be level 70 for them…

i ask because i cleared torment 1 very easily (like EXTREMELY easily) and i bumped the game up to torment 6 which was now VERY hard…but im not sure if its just because im not level 70 or because it should actually be that hard given my gear and such (but the enemies are still level 60)…

is there a point where i will NEVER be able to improve my character further without actually getting the xpac(s)?

Just buy the expansion. Its so night and day between the original. You will not regret it if you’re already enjoying the original.

Seriously. Like, you’re just playing the demo. I don’t mean to come off as rude. I know expansions for other games are kind of an added adventure, but reaper of souls is basically a new game and 20 times better.

Without Reaper of Souls, you’re already at the point where you can’t realistically get any further. As soon as you hit level 61 that unlocks a new level of gear that would basically outclass pretty much any item you’re currently wearing. The same happens at 65 and 70.

At 70 you have access to legendaries, set items, ancients, adventure mode, rifts, greater rifts, bounties, challenge rifts. Oh, and the Crusader class.

One more thing, there’s currently a sale on…

…and Reaper of Souls is $9.99

Yeah you’re not playing D3 if you don’t have RoS.

If you want to play the Expac but cannot afford it I’ll gift it to you :grinning:

T6 is 10 times harder than T1 in terms of monster health.
T6 monster damage is only 6.4 times of T1.
Source: Diablo 3 Difficulty Overview

Each class should have one class set for level 60. e.g. your DH has a piece of Natalya set. The class set (6) bonus give huge buff. You may try to collect a full set, but the drop rate is very bad in campaign mode than in adventure mode, I suppose. So, as others said, buy RoS expansion is the easiest way to get stronger.

lol sure if thats a serious offer

yeah ive noticed that…i do have a couple of set items and im in all legendary gear…but yeah im struggling to find anything that would be considered an upgrade…

thats kinda why i was posting the original question…like im fairly confident the enemies do scale with me…but the problem is im not doing any ‘further’ scaling outside of paragon levels

Yes, before topmost level, monster scale with you AND difficulty level.
i.e. if you are lv 50, monsters are lv 50 too.

After you reach topmost level, monster scale only with difficulty level (of course).

Yup, but it is not a “problem”, it is what “difficulty” means. If you also scale up, then you wouldn’t FEEL difficult, then there is no “difficulty” at all.

Even you buy RoS, you will face this, just make it happen later.

RoS, the greater rift simulator.

Yup. Add me.
