Wrong. Go read my comments. I hate those that insist people who enjoy D3 are bad people, know nothings, or our opinions areninvid for some reason.
The only thing I’ve trashed D2 for was the lack or respecs and the graphics. Other than that, I enjoyed my time playing the game. Oh no I didn’t play all the classes so therefore my opinion is invalid. The game is still the same whether I played a Paladin or a Necro. Nothing changes but the gear used, skills, and how one approaches enemies.
I haven’t torn down the devs just given my opinion. Brevik has great ideas, he just needs somone in charge refining and guiding him. Itnis a fact, he did not want MP or real time combat. Diablo would have been a meh game if he had his original vision, lost among tons of other meh similar games.
The Schaeffer’s I feel have more to do with the success of the first two games as they have done better post Blizzard than Brevik.
You, and your tyoes just cannot stand honest critique of a game you love and probably obsessed over. I have never not claimed to love D3, however your opinion that Infind D2 trash is very inaccurate. Just because I found leveling through Act one boring to not want to do more than 2 characters doesn’t mean I thought the game was trash. Nor does not spending 1000s of hours in endgame while I was in school mean I thought it was trash. It was the bear ARPG at the time. I found D3 to be a much more enjoyable experience. That doesn’t invalidate my fondness for D2, neither do my critiques.
You guys want it black and white. D2 it’s the best and D3 is crap. Any deviation, and you invalidate that opinion. Again, it’s OK to not like either game, it’s also OK to criticize what one perceives as it’s downfalls.
I would just like to point out that Nikola Tesla died in poverty. His invention made the modern world possible. And Westinghouse ripped him off 9 ways to Sunday.
I’m sure at some point someone at Westinghouse said: “Nikola Tesla??? That loser!”
they talked about an item drop from endgame that brings a legendary power into a rare item, wich is pretty neat, right?
lets see what they do, totaly different team from D3. i think they got some cool ideas, mixed with feedback and take their own take of it, with that said i dont think you have to worry too much.
specially with the directors we got now, if something is wrong and bad after release i think they are pretty much the guys we need to get a change for the better.
First off, he didn’t say anything about playing Diablo 1.
Second, doesn’t matter how old he was when the game released. I’ve played Tetris on an original GameBoy and it released decades before I was born, or does that not count as playing the game?
Third, it’s a game with a similar archetype, it’s a completely fair comparison and a great background for criticism on this game as it is a competing product. Experience with alternative options is a great thing to have when critiquing a game style.
Fourth, screw off with this point. Not even worth responding to with how close minded this is.
Fifth, what are you, the grandpa of a developer trying to shield them from “hate”? Newsflash, criticism isn’t “QQ” unless you’re blind to how criticism actually works and helps to improve games.
I don’t think that the devs of D4 will be able to come up with a Mensa level IQ system of depth. Where it is complexity for the sake of complexity.
Instead I want them to live by their motto of easy to learn but difficult to master.
I do believe that if they do the game right there will be a bit of a mix between legendaries and rares with legendary affixes. There is something else that is not known, at least not fully known and that is what are all of the affixes that will appear on gear. Still there is no news on runes and rune words. There might be still some things about them as far as progression that could mean that some builds you might use a rune word.
Another thing that hasn’t been talked about is their crafting system. I need to learn more about that as well. If they do crafting much better than all three diablo games combined then we might have some builds with a mix of legendaries, rares, rune words, and crafted gear.
I would dare say that as long as there are some alternatives to BiS gear that won’t be so far behind that they will never get used at all.
I highly doubt that Blizz would have more than a on time play through of the campaign since they removed the four times in D3 and PoE devs removed the three times play through in their game. More so since the areas that you can play in will be huge. So huge that we will be riding horses.
With Blizzard focusing on consoles and mobile gaming you think Diablo 4 will ever be like Diablo 2 or even deeper like Path of Exile is ? Keep it real guys, Diablo 4 will be a diablo 3 game with Diablo 2 references ( bosses, regions etc ). But if you think Diablo 4 will be a diablo 2 or Poe or something far deeper than Diablo 3, oh well. Good luck
