Have you tryed to scroll down in the graphics menu? I have full screen and I can change it tob the other two options. And im not even useing a monitor.
Now controller menu. That’s sucky. When I bind one mouse button to move, I should not be able to move whit the orher. There’s no re-bind for force-stand still.
The skill trigger mechanics should also change. Because it’s realy clunky for PC. I haven’t tryed controller yet.
The resolution needs to adjustable, the colors are horribly oversaturated, and you can see it switch from normal in menus to clown vomit in gameplay. And moving my controller stick in one direction and not getting any movement for a second and a half just sort of makes it unplayable currently.
Ues they did. In conjunction with netease. No fooling. Did you bother listening to or reading the interviews that explained the decision to add a PC client?
Game is unplayable on PC - thanks of a piece of crap mobile system.
This is the next level of P2W game. Blizzard made something that nobody did before: squeezing money as hell from players that nobody did before. If you do not waste a lot of money do this: uninstall as soon as possible!
I would just like to know how to force stop movement. Playing DH is difficult to stay at range when move and shoot are basically the same button. I tried to change the controls, but seems those are locked, and I did not find a force stop option. I might try melee class instead.
I suspect you’re using an XBox (XInput) controller. It seems that currently XInput controllers are experiencing input delays while controllers like the Nintendo Switch Pro controller or Dual Shock 4/Dual Sense 5 are OK, at least in wired mode. I’m hoping this is just a bug with their controller setup but as I don’t have an XBox controller to test with due to me not being able to physically use those without pain, I can’t test this out right now. We’ll need to wait for a bugfix on this one.
CLUT shouldn’t really be necessary outside of setting up a game for HDR capability. RGB is RGB. One of the other issues some face with colors is incorrect HDMI settings in the OS and/or display. Thanks to older HDMI specifications still needing to be supported, the 0-255 vs. 17-237 system issues still exist. It’s why D2R’s colors seem “off” to some players despite them being correct as far as the game is concerned. Improper HDMI setting (full vs. limited) can cause washed out colors or oversaturated colors depending on which setting the user has vs. what their display actually supports. It’s most noticeable on TN (twisted nematic) displays that often have 6-bit or 8-bit panels using FRC to simulate a wider color gamut than the TN display technology actually supports.
Thank the HDMI group for this particular mess.
I know the blog said they were doing their best to mimic the mobile experience and that they were trying to make the control scheme work on the PC, but because of how rushed this client was there seem to be a plethora of issues. It would have been a good thing if Blizzard had their QA whip up a “known issues” list so they could post it for players to see and use to mitigate some of the frustration they’re going through right now. I really do feel sad seeing Wyatt Cheng’s work yet again get blasted, both times for something out of his control.
I like what I see of D:I’s gameplay, but the problem on the PC side is accessing that gameplay, which seems to be hit or (more likely) miss right now. The PC client is a beta, so there is most certainly hope for serious change in the near future. I just wish Blizzard would set up a dedicated location here on their site(s) for players to leave that feedback instead of having to dive into that cesspool Reddit or bothering Wyatt on twitter (I strongly advise against the latter!). A dedicated D:I forum here would have provided a key place to put feedback on the PC client.
You can allready adjust the shades/filter in controll(not controller) options, though I haven’t tryed, so I don’t know how much better or worse it gets.
Yeah, I didnt mean it wasnt extremely bad, it surely is. My point just was that it isnt how Blizzard intent it to be. If it was then it should really be criticized, but right now I feel like they just need a patch or two in the coming weeks to fix it.
It is much worse when they release something terrible, and it was intended to be that way.
Yep, not wanting to offer a forum is an absolutely crazy decision.
Agreed, I have only tried the Demon Hunter. The PC controls (as in mouse/keyboard) are completely broken. One might hope that is a bug. The character just keeps moving with the primary attack button, it is a shockingly bad way to handle it. It shouldn’t even be fixed with a stop movement button (in a game where there is a freaking dedicated movement button, unlike in D3, thankfully), the attack button simply shouldn’t serve as a movement button. At minimum make it a functionality that can be toggled on and off.
I can forgive a rushed UI that clearly will be fixed post-release. But a control scheme design like this really should not have been able to slip through to release.
Agreed, it would be great if we could adjust the UI, scaling of Text and Posibillity to Zoom out of the Character. I understand that it was made for Mobile but, please give us these options on PC.
Not flogging a dead horse here, if the HUD UI elements can be scaled down (like how you can in Lost Ark), the PC “port” would be fine. Scaling 3D aspects which would definitely affect gameplay balance but IMO, just scaling the HUD would provide ZERO advantage other than the text UI elements being smaller.
Can you imagine hooking this game up to your 4k TV right now, you could probably play it in another room the UI is so massive.
The UI need to be updated for PC urgently. I know this is a year old topic but I don’t want this issue forgotten while D4 issues light the studio on fire.
