If it is and you can enjoy it without spending a single $ than why there are so many hidden P2W aspects, to encourage you to use your Credit Card in order to compete against whales if you’re not spending over 10h in this game, playing it day by day?
Seems like it’s impossible for F2P players to even sell legendary gems they get from the game for Free, the only ones you can sell come from Eternal legendary crests that can be bought with Eternal Orbs that are being bought with real money.
Just go to the 4:15 minute of this video:
I bet the gameplay might be “great” or it can be “fun to play” (probably more on mobile than PC) for some players, but I wonder for how long…
How long will they enjoy the game without being constantly tempted to spend real money and seing how they’re friends get much more out of it cause they spend 20 or even 100$ on it and get more out of the game than a F2P could get in months…
Some players might be fine playing until they get to level 60. I personaly don’t understand how can anyone enjoy a game if you can’t fully enjoy all of it’s content and what it has to offer and that’s including endgame and maxing out your character without the need of using your Credit Card…
Call me weird, but for me as F2P player Diablo Immortal really seems like a BETA that you can enjoy if you play over 10h a day which can be upgraded to FULL if you start dual wielding your credit cards to progress much faster and gain a much bigger advantage over F2P players…
There are a few dim bulbs in other threads still defending the game, claiming it’s not P2W or arguing semantics about laws and legality. I think those individuals need serious, legitimate help, because they are living in a different world.
D:I was built from the ground up to funnel players into real-money purchases in order to access myriad layers of content. Compared to what paying players can do and acquire in the game, free players are spinning their wheels in the mud.
The entire “game” is a preposterous, awful, disgusting cash grab that uses manipulative (and in some countries illegal) tactics to get players to continually pump money into Blizzard’s live service mobile game. No one should be supporting this, paid or free, and no one should be giving Blizzard and Activision a pass, because if D:I proves financially successful, you bet your bottom dollar (pun intended) that they’ll jam this kind of crap into every other major game product going forward.
I know what you mean, especialy some people in the “Boycott Pay to Win Games” thread.
No matter how many proves you present to them they still don’t believe it’s P2W and defend the game saying that Blizz does absolutely nothing wrong and that there’s no P2W and that it’s a free game you can fully enjoy without spending any real money at all…
i dont know which of these 3 i find more appaling those kinds of players for blindly defending the company no matter what they do Blizzard actually insulting our intelligence by releasing this mockery of the Diablo franchise or the fact they dont even have the decency to even try to acknowledge all of the negative feedback being generated by it
i mean you look at nearly every social media forum gaming site or message board anywhere on the net and theyre all say the same thing yet Blizzard is still being silent acting like nothing is wrong
its an insult to the fans and the players that have made this company billions in revenue when they cant even find the time to publically address our concerns
I’m 100% F2P. Been playing for a week now, and the power difference now is way too high, that I’m getting 1-shotted
Taking 300% more damage while only doing 25% damage, this game is so fun eh? Meanwhile the whales are taking 25% more damage while doing 300% extra damage.
Fortunately I’m too smart for their monetization psychology - I’m not spending even $1 on this.
