Diablo: Immortal - Hero's Journey

Can this PLEASE be made retroactive for the players who have already completed these tasks. At this point in the game for me (Paragon 120) I’ve already completed at least 95% of the Hero’s Journey tasks. However, now I can’t progress past the first chapter due to the requirement to spend 15K hilts which take time to accrue. The next chapter has the requirement to unlock 20 bestiary entries…which at this point, getting a non duplicate entry happens like maybe once a week. This needs to be addressed!

Unlocking new pages isn’t required, I think. Just need to collect 200 monster thingies total (10 per entry).

It was the case when it required you to unlock 5. Duplicates counted.

But yeah it sucks, 15k is near impossible - they reduced it down from 17500 which is useless. 20k is definitely impossible, especially with all the caps in the Shadows activities & BP farming.

WittyGem is correct. You just need to turn in the 10 monster essence orbs a total of 20 times.

Blizzard can you please remove the sealed warband chest part of the quests??

Or at least have the chest drop and give credit for turn in already done.

This is singularly the most heinous of Chapter II’s tasks, i.e. handing in 10 warband caches. When a player is in a group with at least one other Warband member in it, and the player obtains a legendary, there is a low chance that they will also obtain a warband cache, that they can hand in at the Camp. This is a personal task, i.e. the hero has to obtain and hand in 10 of these, not 10 in total for all of the warband members. Well, I invited three of my clan-mates into my Warband yesterday and we did lots of dungeon runs yesterday and today. In total, we did over 30 dungeon runs. I got just 1, yes 1, warband cache. The highest any of us got was 3, the average was 2. From 30 dungeon runs! That drop rate is atrocious.

The whole concept of Warbands is just bad at its core. At this drop rate, I’d likely have to do 100+ dungeon runs to get these caches, so why couldn’t the task just be to do 100 dungeons with clan-mates instead of this double-level-RNG nonsense?

Ok, then my Hero’s Journey already ended in chapter 2.

I was already struggling to form a weekly WB party for Raid…There is no way I can get a random WB member to run dungeons with me for 10 Warband Caches.

You can if you specifically announce to clan or whatever that you’re recruiting for completing Hero Journey.

And thankfully some stuff carries over from the time the Journey was implemented. By the time I unlocked Chapter 2 over half of it was done already.

I was bellyaching about the 15k Hilts because I thought the HJ lasts until the end of season. But it doesn’t. As far as I can tell it’s a permanent progress meter like achievements. And you don’t need to find 20k more Hilts later, just 5k more since the first 15k come from Chapter 1.

And with the new season I’ve already completed that.

The issue is the drop rate, and that they’re locked behind two levels of RNG. As I said in a previous post, with a full 4-man warband party, we did 30 dungeon runs. The warband caches occur as a low chance when you obtain a legendary. So, you’re relying on RNG for you to get a legendary / set item in the first place, and then on a second level of RNG to determine if that caused you to get a warband cache too or not. From 30 full dungeon runs, I got 1 cache, 2 members got 2, 1 member got 3. I think what Kilometer is saying isn’t that they’re incapable of finding people to do this with, it’s that people are likely to be unwilling to do so much content in a warband group in order to complete this double-RNG’d nonsense.
